@Chameleon the $391.00 is for the school year in total. They only give the pebt like once a year. When the pandemic first hit they gave it twice, during the school year and during the summer to supplement the summer feeding programs that were no longer available.

It's sad to get a $118.00 a month raise on your Social Security check (the amount mine will be) and then lose $35 a month benefit on SNAP which, wouldn't be bad. I'll trade $35 for $118 any day but, I am also going to lose the $281 emergency allotment. That IS a big deal! We get a raise but then fall further under the poverty level! They shouldn't take them away from the elderly that's on Social Security which, I am. I've had so many say....."Get a job"! Really? I worked for nearly 40 years! One day these folks that say things like that will also be elderly and qualify for their Social Security. You reckon they'll have that same attitude when the time comes for their retirement!!??? I hope those that have said "get a job" can look back at today, 12/17/2022 and eat those words! I'm sorry, I strayed from the topic. I know God will see me through and take care of me as he has this past year. I lost my husband of 42 years New Years Eve will be a year ago. That's the only reason I qualified for SNAP to begin with. If you are disabled make sure to report ALL medical expenses to SNAP OFFICE. This inc medicare prem. Med copays, and if you have to pay someone to drive you( taxi, lyft, uber, friends etc to dr appts/ pick up medications. Hope this helps you out. Report this info ASAP this will help your link increase.

When was the last time you applied many people get told this years ago or over 2 years ago and don't realize that the terms to qualify have changed. Please just reapply and if they deny you dont always assume they are correct appeal! Many of these caseworker in fact all now are working from home are Temps and undertrained. As well they are understaffed. And emergency allotment also means that even if you only qualify for say $23 normally because of the covid pandemic they are giving you the max anyhow just may be on separate dates.

The Governor here in Georgia doesn't seem to think this State should do anything to help the people. The only thing he has allotted was a one time payout of $350 on a virtue card that caused more problem than this state needed. You could only use it online and many didn't even receive it

Tennessee is crazy all these folks suffering and Covid flu etc people sick still going to work sick coughing and can’t afford to lose their job because there’s no help.
