I was one of those that started trading in 2020 when market started to crash. I made about 80k since then. I bought stocks that did well and some that did not. I have now started to sell and buy 10 yr cds and 10 year notes.I am happy with 4.5% stress free. I am 63 and can not take the stress of ups and downs. I always said losing 50 k is going to have more of an effect on my life than making 50k . I realize I left a lot of money on the table not investing in the market when I was younger, but I saw how the crashes affected my friends , not for me.
