When Mother was in assisted living the kitchen staff made a large urn of spiced tea for the lobby and it tasted and smelled wonderful. That would be my favorite drink. Mother enjoyed coffee and had a coffee bar long before it had a name. Your home looks so welcoming and I plan to look for the Susan Branch book...they are delightful.

The wood structure on the island turned out amazing there. And the open magazine is something I would do. What a perfect sentiment. I wanted to mention your Susan Branch autumn cookbook looks great. I have always loved her books.. but recently found a trilogy of her life that blew me away. I could not put each book down. I got them all on Thriftbooks .. The 1st one is The Fairy Tale Girl about her young adult life... the 2nd is Martha's Vineyard Isle of Dreams of how she dealt with a life detour, and the last is A Fine Romance ... Falling in Love with the English Countryside ... of a trip on her 25th anniversary on the Queen Mary II. I think you would love these during the upcoming cozy fall days in front of that gorgeous fireplace.
