Thank you 😊🥰 Yes, the Mengf bodies are rather pricey. If you're interested, they drop a lot during the first days of the month. I have to say the price is good for its quality. The body does have a better quality in terms of material and also finish, but it is expensive. So the mtm will stay my first go to when it comes to poseability^^

The quality of the Mengf is definitely better than of the mtm. But of course, the mtm is way cheaper. I do like both bodies, but the Mengf is simply dang pretty 😍

I don't have any of the Defa Lucy dolls, although I have been tempted. I really like the face up and the hair on this one, even the clothes she comes in seem like nice enough quality and she is giving me 60s vibes which I love. Shame the hair isn't better quality. Thank you sooo much 😘 Defa Lucy simply needs better hair. But for their prices, the overall quality is decent. And you are totally right! Especially this face has a big 60s attitude 😆. The screening is so clear and the eyes are wide open. I love that! And I really hope the company invests more, since these dolls could be something!

To be honest it would be scary for this company to evolve ....evolving = higher prices. This is the sad part about the doll world, gone are the days of the 80's and 90's prices. The minute the high demand came about....the prices are allover and expensive. I think it's ridiculous. Have you seen the prices on the second hand sites?....they are crazy. On another note, I love the nails on the donator body. What you have shown with these bodies is a way to create a Fashion Royalty doll dupe for less. Thank you so much.

I don't know. I think evolving a bit wouldn't be that bad. You know competition is good for business 😜 Barbie does not have any competition. For example, Rainbow High and Monster High are beautiful doll lines, but they are way to different than Barbie overall. The new faces from Defa Lucy are a potential competition, especially to the kind of facescreening Mattel uses nowadays. But I fear with these bodies and hair a real competition won't happen. I am willing to pay more for a nicer doll that I don't have to rebody and I am happily buying nice dolls that are not made by Mattel. I like the fact that Mengf took the idea of the IT fashion doll bodies and made them so much prettier and better 🤣 But of course with IT you still get the full package with nice facescreanings and great fashion. I am simply not high fashion, I enjoy those hybrids with some affordable doll fashion and sometimes some nicer clothing as well 😄

Do you mean the second hand market? I don't have a lot of experience with it. The thing is that I have clear rules what I am willing to pay for a doll and I never ever support scalpers. Or do you mean the original price that the companies list their items for? I think we as collectors determine the prices stuff sells for. For example, I will not buy any Fashionista this season because the quality went down, but the prices up^^

The Mengf definitely has some ball jointed joints. It is not strung, it has only pegs for the joints. But they are very sturdy^^ Defa Lucy looks so elegant on these bodies 😆 It is also nice that this body can wear flat shoes. A pretty girl can also wear sport shoes 😉

I had to return to this video to see the more articulated doll and to say that Ily 4ever dolls head works very well with a Mengf body, I just need yet another body and I'm hoping Ali will have Black Friday sales. It is now on Japan White and the color difference, while noticeable, it doesn't show up on photos that much!

I still have to get a Disney ily doll with painted eyes! With the inserted ones, I was too frightened to take the head of because MyFroogyStuff did show the possible damage, and I am simply a chicken 🤣🤣🤣 But nI I think you are right, I can imagine that they look good on this body as well. I definitely have to try that! At the moment, Ali does have those singles day sales. I recently ordered new colors (for the Sunday video 😉), so I won't order new ones this time... But maybe you are right, sometimes they even have better deals for black Friday. I think I also need more of the more flexible ones and I hope they add more skincolors to them! @Endollphins You are not a chicken! 😄 I also read it may damage the eyes, that's why I don't buy them 😅 The Jakks pacific ones are cute but the body type is sadly something I'm not that fond of, thats why all my current dolls, Bambi, Ariel and first Stitch are MTM. You are totally right! The combination makes no sense. Maybe they put everything together intentionally in a non matching way to look more extra? IDK... but I really didn't like the combo 🤣
