I just bought a roll of Kunifer & fittings and copied the shape of the old pipe. Fortunately I noticed a leak on rear pipe after changing the rear brake caliper the night before my MOT which disturbed the corroded section (which was not visible) passing through the clip. This resulted in a torchlight brake pipe replacement session on the rear axle. Front pipes have also now been replaced by Kunifer

Tried them all ... vac bleed is worth it if you do a lot of brakes. Other than that use the ring end of the spanner, pipe over the nipple into a container you can clearly see into and a handy helper on the pedal. I used to work with an LR employee turned independent LR workshop and I believe he said pressure fed system ... but that was 15 years ago so can't be sure. I was in the drivers seat of a stubborn series and he was shouting UP DOWN a lot 🤣

I cheated when I did my brake pipes... I replaced only the section that is prone to corrosion and joined to the perfect factory pipes further along.. have to see how it works out. And yes! You've asked one of the questions that I've always wondered... Bleeding brakes on the production line?? 👍🏻😀

I worked on defender at jlr for 20 years in body in white and trim and final, the brake fluid and coolant was vacuum filled.

Ummm, Bleeding is quite simple job I thought. I just use Jar and clear hose. Press pedal few times until bubble disappear the close the nipple. No air will go back because the end of hose is submerged in the fluid.... But Been cautious is good thing !
