I just watched a you tube video that was a dash cam from a cab that was parked at the Hotel. You can hear two shooters and as she leaves gun fire is coming from about seven floors up. Thats right seventh floor clearly see shooting out the window. I'll bet the old man was murdered before the shooting started.

Two guys got the weapons into the room in a service cart while Paddock was at the casino. They prepared all the weapons and waited for him . When he returned to his room he was killed . The murderers broke the windows with the hammer just to have a better view of the field . Then started shooting simultaneously from several points .
