All “20v Max” Dewalt batteries are 18v they just drop to the voltage when in use. For whatever reason Dewalt advertises 20v instead of 18 in North America. I can only assume to clear any confusion from their old 18v line.

18v is the true (nominal) voltage of 20v, it only measures 20v with no load on it. They even state it on the batteries.

So the old one cost 50 bucks and the new one cost 300 bucks and it's only 2 secs faster when drilling a 30" screw into a 10 x 10 stud....I'll go with 2 of the old ones please 🤣💀 ima drop em around anyways 🤦‍♂️

Cuz in the USA that market it under what it’s max voltage is and not what the actual voltage is during use. It’s 18 volts in the USA too, just with a 20volt max label.

2 pararel 4.0 Ah battery will produce 30 amp current. Increase battery capacity not increase power, because 20v powertools run under 30 amp current.
