Both are a good value and it's just a preference of what you like. For me it's still the WorkPro you don't notice the knife in your pocket, it's the same blade in all the utility knives. I would have a hard time getting used to anything else. Great vidio thank you

@@michaellindsay8934 I still prefer the WP as well maybe if I needed to cut something for a long period of time it would grab a thicker knife like either of these but those days aren’t as common. Thank you for sharing. 👍🏻

Blade release is pretty well placed for left handed use. Button locks are easy to hit accidentally when using a knife left handed.

@@pepstein so you’re saying it’s for a leftie?
@pepsteinАй бұрын
I’m just saying lefties don’t have that many options, and this one isn’t too bad. At the higher end of the market some knives are made in a left handed version, and of course some designs are ambidextrous, but so many goods knives are only really usable with the right hand.

For more than twice the cost, I went with the Oknife Otacle U1 for an EDC simply because much more blade is exposed and usable.

Just bought the DeWalt in a 2pack, the package and manufacturer website say the knife has storage for 5 extra blades (none were included of course) and i can not find anywhere on the knife to store additional blades
@ThingsMenАй бұрын
This unit has no additional storage. They have one that looks similar that does have extra storage, but it honestly felt pretty flimsy when i was looking at it.

I watched far too many of these review videos in order to choose something that costs less than a pizza and a beer. I then chose the Milwaukee Flip with the blade storage. I bought 2: one for about the house and one for my belt. For me, the comparison is with what I had before: several traditional Stanley knife with the 2 part handle held together with a single screw, so you need to take it apart to swap the blade. Compared to these old school knives, the Milwaukee is smaller in all 3 dimensions, about 20 grammes lighter, and the blade is safely out of the way when it is not in use. Blade change is quick and intuitive, as is the secure blade storage. It also has a very strong belt clip. The cord cutter nick in the back of the handle is a nice touch. As a sailor with a traditional-style dinghy, I often find myself working with thin lines that need cutting. Let's admit it, though, the flip out, flip in action is part of the cool factor. I did look closely at the 6 in 1 with the screwdriver, but felt that the extra cost and weight did not outweigh the extra use I'd get out of it.
@ThingsMen2 ай бұрын
@@mikefule yes they are smaller now than they have ever been. Going with the Milwaukee isn’t a bad choice at all. Video is an over simplification for f their differences and everyone has their own reasoning and specific needs. 👍🏻

Compared to the other version of the Press flip knives from Dewalt or Milwaukee, this Dewalt version sucks. The placement of the button to press is terrible. It doesn’t feel natural in hand when you press it. Thumb placement feels off with this. It’s not in a good spot
