Good to see you Chris. It is difficult to find the time to put out a video. We try once a week. Take care, Mike

I need to be better since KZbin monetization is part of the farm income goal.

Chris, my wife and I had just ordered 2 breeding pairs from White Bison due to the challenge of finding good breeding stock here in North Central Texas. Keep us in mind later on as our intention is to work with other breeders to keep IPP as diverse as possible in Texas. I haven't started my you tube videos yet but will shortly

We should definitely have a conversation. I could have recommended a half dozen or more breeders that could have set you up very well. There are also several of us that are working very hard to bring all the lines into Texas and Oklahoma and ensure that the pigs on our farms are basically unrelated even if they are form the same line.

Cheers Chris, good to see ya on your latest video. Your pig content is what I originally came for and love seeing your IPP’s and set up. Take er easy and if you put ‘em up weekly, we will check ‘em out. I heard in one of your prior vids some of your stock came from MN, where I reside. Any recommendations on a Midwest breeder? Only one I am familiar with is White Bison in WI. Peace!

So Fossan Lake Farm is in Minnesota. reach out to her. She has a bunch of litters being born. We really like the folks at Rosewood Farms in Wisconsin. Now these are folks we consider friends but there are a ton of breeders near you. These are the ones listed on the registry site here: idahopasturepigregistry.com/registered-breeders/

Good to see you back. Oliver is a great looking boar! How do you like the electric tape?
@Rockin8Farm2 жыл бұрын
I love the electric tape but any pig that wants out will get out. I will eventually have the tape and hard fences. The pigs that I have in areas like that do not get out ever.

Could those line bred piglets go as unregistered breeding stock for crossing to other breeds?
@Rockin8Farm2 жыл бұрын
I personally don't sell unregistered breeding stock. I have a very strict "no breeding" contract with one customer that buys several feeder quality gilts off of me each year. Other than that only barrows leave my farm unregistered. It's a personal decision I have made for our program based on my desire to help improve and build the breed. I know plenty of folks that would do just that though.

Curious how many acres the pigs take up on your farm
@Rockin8Farm9 күн бұрын
About 2.5 I'd say

Maybe that means the (pet) pig won’t try to violate me next time we visit lol
