Details galore, for sure! Brent, a recommendation would be to toss the mini-shades on the chandelier lights. They collect dust and are usually cockeyed. Would a hacienda have had these in the first place?

I love his pure French Normandy cottage style houses. But as you said this is a transitional style house. To me that says it's neither fully this nor that. Even the original owners were disappointed with the house and they asked him back to remodel it, twice. And now Hull Homes marks the house's third remodel. In addition to the funky stylistic touches, it looks like the floor plan doesn't flow well, with rooms that don't seem to properly relate to each other. That said I have high hopes that Hull Homes will make tasteful changes that will help the house look more cohesive and unified. Good luck and thank you.
@marvinhaines92972 ай бұрын
You're being far too critical. It's a highly unique, if imperfect house from a previous decade. I love the charm. To make it technically "perfect" in a Classical sense would be robbing it of its humanity. These "odd" features were put in deliberately by a highly talented and trained architect almost a century ago. Please don't insist on changing them.

This house holds onto a specific tradition (European charm) and takes chances with details and architectural elements. The unique detailing is both historically grounded as well as visually appealing.
