Bought a Vevor (bigger) a couple of weeks ago. I am a beginner and did'nt want to invest a lot of money. Very cheap (160 euro's) and works well...The only remark: you need to put a bat or other wheel protection : a lot of aluminium oxide comes from the surface of the wheel. Very quite as well...Very happy!

I did a video on drilling bat pins into a Vevor wheel head, about 18 months ago.

How does the noise compare to the Vevor belt drive wheels you have had? Seems quite loud in the video but that could be the mike position.
@Vsmithpots15 күн бұрын
I do not find the noise level annoying. My only issue with the wheel was the foot peddle which I showed in a follow up video using a stopper to help with the sensitivity.

I had trouble with the foot pedal of my first vivor.. they replaced it but now it wont stop so I have to use the main on off switch.. but this is a GREAT beginner wheel

I have a bunch of vevor wheels and they tend to get stuck when you stomp down on the pedals. It's an easy fix though! You just open up the bottom plastic cover under the foot pedal, and you'll see a black plastic gear and a black pronged connection piece that fit in with the gear. If you move the pedal you'll see how the two pieces interact. You just have to adjust that gear in either direction until the pedal works like you need it to. It's really simple, you just gotta mess with it a bit 🤘

@@ironman462 I did that to this wheel too so it can be fixed, I was just experimenting to try and come up with a fix for the over sensitive speed control, I will show that tomorrow in a short video.

Hello, Thank you so much for your videos. Can you use a bat with this wheel? If so can you tell me what kind? Love all you all do! All very beautiful!
@Vsmithpots3 ай бұрын
It does not have bat pins but you can install them yourself, I showed that in a video last year. Here is the video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/famQkKturJlrnaMsi=G_B6QDq9ok-boxF9 Be careful getting the right length pins.

Hello, could you please let me know if this new vevor wheel (it does not have a regular belt)woobles? I've bought a bigger vevor wheel that is very woobly and I cannot use it
@Vsmithpots27 күн бұрын
Is it the wheel that wobbles or the wheel head? So far I have had 4 wheels to revue and have given away three of them to other people , non of them wobbled.
@mariuspoparascu182227 күн бұрын
@ the wheel head wobbles. I've looked underneath and the belt does not rotate properly, it goes up and down, same to the wheel head. I'm assuming that it wobbles because of the unsteady belt. I really need a steady cheap wheel to practice. I have seen that this one does not have a belt thus, It may be more stable. Could you tell me if the wheel head is steady of if it wobbles side to side? Cheers!

@@mariuspoparascu1822 The one I have is fine. Can you send a short video on this so I can see what you mean. I think Vevor will replace it if you persist with your complaint, as long as the time frame is appropriate.

I have a fix for the pedal issue which is included in my video on Making three pieces from a slab of clay, published on September 12th 2024, 4 days after this was published.
@mark3141583 ай бұрын
Thanks for the review. The foot pedal is faulty - Vevor should replace it. The only way to fix it is to swap out the pot. Is there a solid earth connection between the wheel head and the earth pin of your mains plug? That gearbox seems like an obvious point of failure at this price point. The older pulley system looks more reliable - as well as being quieter. The really slow speed is a good feature - as long as there is sufficient torque at that speed. It would be interesting to get a big lump of clay amd push the wheel to its limits.

They say 3kgs is the max it can take, I threw 6lbs on another 450watt motor Vevor and it was fine. I consider them beginner hobby wheels. I plan on using it as a trimming wheel in the new studio.

Looks great, but I don’t like the noise it makes sorry😢 also looks like it could be too light for larger pieces of clay. Maybe needs to be anchored down
@Vsmithpots3 ай бұрын
It is not meant for larger above 3kgs, 6lbs. My stand shown in the video makes it heavier and it is solid, easy to build for $10.
