I dont know how others feel about this but i think the cutoff for kids tickets should be 12. Charging full price when they turn 13 makes more sense since they're teens at that point, and it gives an extra few years for families to go for the kids price, especially right before they become teenagers for real and probably won't be as thrilled with going to disneyland with mom and dad. It gives more people more chances to make memories at disney

Thank You for the info!! We almost did the Provost park pass ticket offer but I held out for a possible deal like we did back in February. We have a family of 5 from PHX so this saves us almost $900!! Plus we have to get a hotel near the parks. Hope to go on late August.

I was in the park this past Sunday and while the morning and early afternoon were very quiet, the evening was VERY crowded because of the DECA weekend and the Girl Scout event. The reservation system probably was legitimately booked full, Disneyland was wall to wall with people all night that Sunday, but a huge percentage of people who had those reservations didn't come to the park until late afternoon/early evening.
@genialgigi18007 ай бұрын
Do you know if there is a way to know about big events like that (DECA) ahead of time? At minimum, to manage expectations.
@minnesarah7 ай бұрын
@@genialgigi1800 Aside from reading the various Disney boards and seeing what people post there, I don't know of another way. I don't believe Disney themselves publish any sort of calendar or notifications of large scale reservation bookings. They announce their own stuff, but even their own events sometimes only get on the calendar two months out. They don't even put Dapper Days on their calendar and that's been happening every year for ages, but it's not an official Disney event so they don't publish anything about it. If you're not booking a trip in advance, and you're only going for a couple of days, and you're flexible with your dates, then you could probably do everything within reason to avoid large group reservations. I take all my nieces and nephews when they turn 13, so our trips are planned months in advance. It is what it is, sometimes you get lucky with crowd flow and sometimes you don't, but Disneyland is always magical either way. We still had a great evening last Sunday and were able to fit in re-rides of Space Mountain and Matterhorn even with wall to wall people. There were only two of us and we did single rider, but still. Any day at Disneyland is a great day. Sometimes you're just sharing the magic with more people. The magic itself is definitely always there.

@DannyD7147 ай бұрын
totally agree. prior to the pandemic they had no problem with the old AP system. they used the pandemic to switch to the reservation system even though it's no longer necessary. they sell you a "magic" key,but have a year round system for when you can use it. the old AP system had blockout dates,but that was accepted as necessary by APS (myself included) during peak periods. now it's just the company manipulating people's good times with no valid reason.

We were in the parks on the weekend of April 20 - and at points, there was enough human traffic to make getting around in mobility equipment challenging, to say the least. If Disney wants the parks crowded to max, what are they doing to make movement around the parks more smooth and less "human traffic jam"?

yes i do agree crowds are showing they cant afford and im one of them and my daughter misses it. now you say this discount is good for those who cant afford and i agree 100 but i still feel that its the dame thing. its a “3 day” ticket so in order to get this deal you have to purchase all 3 days for the child and all 3 days for the adult which how you showed is is $150 per child - for 3 days $249 per adult - for 3 days total of $389 so if i cant afford regular admission as it is per day how can one afford this discount as a bundle? yea its a great deal for per day but it sounds great when it is said “$50 per child” “$83 per adult” but when the total is due thats were those who cant afford a regular day which is almost the same price as this deal. just this deal may be a bit more and even though it is a deal its the price and the total one has to pay up front. now a discount and great deal for the people would be this $50 per child and $83 per adult and have it at “per day” not 3 day so then those who cant afford it actually can and take their kids who have not yet been to disney you have to do per day not 3 days

Just a theory....is Disneyland holding back reservations for premium priced days so those guests that are paying more are getting a premium experience? A planned lower attendance day results in lower labor costs, and less wear and tear on attraction mechanics. Disney may be netting the same amount of cash with fewer guests paying more as opposed to a busier park at a lower price point. Just a thought.

Oh gosh Dave this is selfishly disappointing for me! I have a two day trip planned from the east coast with hotels and airfare for September 19 and 20th. I’ll only need a two day ticket , not three because of airplane times. I thought I would be traveling during an off time and seeing haunted mansion nightmare before Christmas. Now it looks like I’ll be traveling at a busy time ( I have visions of those videos with oceans of strollers at fantasyland during the final weeks of previous offer). And maybe not seeing haunted mansion! I’m happy for those families that may get to Disneyland because ,as I’ve said before, if they price it right they will come. Oh well, I guess I hope I see the joy in some kids eyes and that makes up for the crowds.

The discounts are VERY TELLING of what is happening. People are boycotting for multiple reasons. Main one being prices, people cannot afford. Second is people are not going because to much is closed. Third is people are not going to support a company that is taking sides in the cultural debate. The last drama with the Evil Queen being played by a male for the meet-n-greet has turned some people off (yes I know the Queen has always been played by a male for stage shows because she needs to be larger and imposing)
