You have to be able to retrieve that steam & keep it going around it will use less energy as the steam already hot
@abid583indАй бұрын
No no, the steam spent has to be cooled to make it back to water and then again cool it back to around 30°c for the system efficiency.... Water at 30-40°c takes lesser heat to turn into high pressure steam than water at say 70-80°c.... That's the reason you see those huge cooling towers in power plants.....
@brandonshepherd331711 ай бұрын
Couldnt you run the condensate to a return tank. And recycle that back into the boiler like on the big ones? Save energy heating water when its getting dumped back in preheated not hot enough for flash steam but still plenty warm
@kracticuspotts968611 ай бұрын
I could, hadn't thought about that thank you.
@heitor4798 ай бұрын
@@kracticuspotts9686 in fact you don't need a condenser. If you implement it you'd waste the energy used to boil the water just to turn it back to water for no purpose. Just cycle the steam back into the boiler using valves. When the steam is created, the outlet valve of the boiler will let it with less pressure inside, and it will open the return valve so the steam cycles back.

@kracticuspotts9686 no the problem is you would have to store a dangerous amount to run a car. Or it would take such a large reactor to produce enough to run a car. However I have often wondered, to run a boiler? It's maybe possible. Consider on a small scale. You can make enough HHO, to produce a continuous flame. It may be possible to run your steam generator, using it's own power to produce fuel for your boiler.
My hope is to have a drain after I get it closed in but once it is up to temp most should go up the chimney stack which I plan to help increase the draft for the boiler. Thanks for commenting
