You’re recipe book for your girls is such a thoughtful idea. My mum didn’t enjoy cooking or baking much. Her mom had a few dessert items that she made with me when I visited. When my nana passed, my mum found some hand-written recipe cards that she gave to me. It’s the only thing I have of my nana except memories and they are in my small collection of tried and beloved recipes. You brought back a warm memory. Thank you for that.

I love the idea of the recipe book too! While growing up as mom made different recipes I made sure to copy them down so I had some of my favourite recipes growing up! No regrets at all now that I live away from home! 🥰

She used to just snip her recipes out of magazines or the paper and some hand written and I have those. How lovely that your mum found some of your nana's hand written recipe cards and gave them to you. That is very special and I am so happy that you have them to cherish. I too love the maple cookies. I thought they were finished but I found some in another DOLLARMA. The solar lights are going fast. Today I found two cotton mix T shirts for 4 dollars each. I found the cotton spread 50 by 70 for 5 dollars. Again this year they had the ITALIAN FROZEN DESERTS.

Those recipe books are such a great gift. Your girls will absolutely love them. For Christmas for both my adult children I gave them a framed collage of pics of their great Grandmas, grandma’s and me along with favourite recipes posted next to the appropriate pic. My daughter loves to cook and my son is the executive chef of Canoe Restaurant in Toronto. So they loved their memory collages. That pillow is gorgeous. I found a beautiful blue rectangle pillow with spring flowers. Love it. Hope I find a few more for our deck. Your daughter found some amazing items for her trip. I have not found the welcome pillows either! So I gave up and bought 2 Hampton Bay rectangle stripe ones. It was a different stripe than what you bought. Mine are a beautiful blue stripe and several shade of grey strips. Really beautiful and it will go nicely under my gazebo as my gazebo is grey. So I was happy with them. Enjoy your weekend my friend. Hello. Missy, I loved the recipe journals. Great idea i have all my moms cook books , herwritten ones ,newspaper clippings, and 😢the free recipe cards that. Some grocery stores had free in there spinning displays or above the meats in meat departments.
