I've had two incidents where customers claimed not to receive part of an order and both times I was able to use the order information in the Dasher app to prove that the customer simply didn't order as many items as they claimed. I even had one send me a text literally accusing me of taking a sandwich out of the bag when in reality the sandwich was never ordered to begin with, both according to the order info and the restaurant themselves.

Hi thanks for your update. I did send you a previous message asking if you could address wait times. They did not tell me the reasoning but I feel I was deactivated for choosing to wait for orders rather than cancel and not get paid. Thanks for all your help to dashers.

I was deactived today never had any customer issues only 1 violation stating I took too long to pick up the order from the store had a delivery and was deactivated while I was picking it up now waiting on appeal I’m worried cause it’s for a late pick up but only had 1 prior violation

Hi Bentley so glad to see you back! You are one of the best.. I’m 3 years, P/t over 7k deliveries just trying to stay active but it’s a struggle keeping the wheels rolling high miles and low or no tips. DD did not help us lowering $ on suggested tips. Tier system suspect depending on 1:00 1:00 market. Bigger markets seem to be doing better than mid- smaller. I’m platinum still, but the struggling/grind is real. Yeah door dash makes it to easy to be Platinum Dasher. With such a low acceptance rate to qualify (70%) anybody can be a platinum driver which makes it harder to get top priority orders because it's saturated with platinum drivers

DoorDash was great when I started in July 2022. I have been gone since February 2024. I was deactivated in August of 2023 with NO explanation at all, but was reactivated the next month. I was Top Dasher, and enjoyed my hustle. To this day I will never understand.

Like the comment below, Uber eats has been using pin number for a while now it does not slow production down. It’s good to have that and it’s good to see DoorDash following that step. that’s what I’ve been waiting for finally so there’s less temptation to say you never received your food.

I got deactivated in June they kept talking bout my background check but not saying what charge. It took me to apply for go puff to see why I couldn't drive, it was for a ticket I got in 2021 for my license plate sticker. Which took care of that the next day and paid the ticket the next day. Why they wait till 2024 to deactivate it.

I was very new.but I had good ratings. Then my background check came Thur. I was deactivated for failing to show up to Court. I.m 61 . Went to both court districts nothing... But my license got suspended and I never Got the ticket mailed to me nor was it issued at the accident. So I paid the ticket . They told me we don't do court on the license? Doing door dash help me with my gas and food

The new appeal system works like this: They don't look at your appeals unless you have three or more. If you have one, it doesn't matter if it's been a month, they will NOT review it. That's because most people will do 100 deliveries before they hit 3 contract violations, so they'll just let it go by because it's going to likely erase anyways. Appealed violations don't count as a strike, so if you have 2 and appealed both, then it technically is still 0 strikes. I'm assuming this part: when you get three, then they'll review the three appeals to see if you should be deactivated or not. I know for a fact though that they aren't actively checking all disputes. I didn't dash much last month, and my dispute was pending for over 3-4 weeks.

I had been deactivated a long time ago. The first appeal was denied. A year later I appealed again and it was approved.

Yes the updates are a positive step for sure. As far as the customers lying that has not been to much of an issue for me. I have had a few PIN number deliveries and they all have went good. One thing I always do when I can is I will get a picture even if it says hand order to me just so I have proof of delivery.

One new update I am dealing with now is updating driver identity. My selfie will not be accepted in my app system because my image on my driver's license is too old and I have changed significantly. Once this happens I fear that my update will fail again on my new picture ID. Now I'm afraid my selfie will never work and I will be deactivated for prolonged inactivity.

I’ve been under review for 13 days. My account hasn’t been officially deactivated it’s just been suspended until the review is concluded. I turned on my app, received and offer, and as soon as I hit accept my account got locked. I called support and of they couldn’t tell me anything then after 3 days of calling and talking to a supervisor they advised me to fill out and appeal form. I was confused cuz like I said I haven’t been deactivated but they asked me to fill out an appeals form. It very hard to plead your case when you have no idea what you’re accused of. To provide a little background I’m currently and Platinum tier dasher with a AR of 91% CSR of 4.91,and CR of 97%.Do you have any suggestions?

She was literally standing in the picture when I took the picture of the food and the drink I completed the order got back in my car I left, she immediately texted me and said I forgot to give her her drink. I told her you’re sadly mistaken because your feet are in the picture that I just took your drink in the picture along with your food. I don’t understand how you did not get your drink immediately she gave me two dollars extra tip, I’m honestly thinking the girl wanted me to come back to do something else. It was a little odd.

I called them and they fucking pushed it off and said to check my email. They ended up hanging up on me leaving me in the parking lot pissed off asf, cus i grinded three months to get to platinum. They did this shit twice. The first time they deactivated me and reactivated me a few days after saying it was a “mistake”. I understand your sentiments. I am a nurse by profession. I have a chronic neurologic condition that has made it impossible for me to work in my profession. I use this app to supplement my SSDI. It is the only job that I can find where I can cancel at the last minute; work only as long as I am physically able to. My symptoms are unpredictable. I have done well on this app with a strategy of cherry picking based upon miles and ratio of payout to miles. I am unconcerned about their tiered status levels.
