An issue with the 'time delay before matchmaking penalty' is that people on windows 11 get kicked mid match cause of the games horrible online code. They only finally admitted this in the most recent patch. Before that they'd try gaslight you into thinking it's your own problem (they emailed me multiple times doing this).

It's disgusting and shows lack of care for the product and consumer.

"Communication error" is not a ragequit, it's an error that makes both player disconect. It's a server problem, and Bandai doesn't want to fix it. The real ragequit message is "Connexion to your opponent lost"

The issue is these days you have no idea if it's even people rage quitting or just the game itself either crashing or the game disconnecting itself. That's the problem with penalties for "rage quitting" with modern games. They can never tell the difference and it punishes people for something they aren't even doing. I got a temporary ban in demon slayer the first few days it was out cause the game constantly crashed. And stuff like Naruto storm giving you a literal counter for how many times you "rage quit" it's just a crash counter more than a rage quit counter it doesn't even mean anything. The first time I got the "next time it will count" message in sparking zero was from a private match with my friend just disconnecting randomly.

You probably press and hold the buttons instead of tapping them, the longer the combo the easier it is to use a heavy smash, however the heavy smash is very sensitive. Usually what's happening is people heavy smashing without meaning
