SHARON, Tati, I love your videos, your one of the few KZbinrs who I trust with makeup especially when you do drugstore budget brands (though drugstore products have gotten more expensive). I'm 64 with severely oily skin, but I was told years ago by what I thought was enlarged pores were actually sweat glands, to the point that when the Philadelphia Dermatological Society was meeting at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, I was invited to be on stage with others. Apparently this condition is rare/unusual, so I tried to pick the brains of every dermatologist who came up. I was told at the time, that there was some sort of procedure involving electrical current, but I never went through with it, and it might not have been covered by insurance. My skin is mostly pale with pink under tones, but the big frustration is that my nose is pinker than the rest of my face and the sweat glands are more visible than the rest of my face, something that I will eventually ask my dermatologist about when I go, and always Get Your Spots Checked (some I know are from aging). I'll confess that I haven't worn makeup in years, especially since I have been masking. One thing I found regarding mascara was that using an eyelash curler helps with my sparse lashes and using a tube mascara helps prevent smudging on my extremely oily eye lids. If I do anything it will be eyes. My eye lids are just as oily as every place else on my face, since oil drips down from my forehead down to my eyes and every place else. Have you ever tried something called Indian Earth? It's been around for years (I have yet to take it out of the box). I ordered my from the Vermont Country Store catalog. It's supposed to be used for everything. It's been around for years. Also Avon; when I was dealing with cancerie stuff years ago, there was an Avon bronzer in my bag of goodies. I miss some of the backup from way back when. Revlon's Charlie line that was deeply pigmented and wonderful. Also Yardly (that makes me soap's), had pot 'gloss in a small jar that came in different flavors; the eye shadow came in a similar jar but not scented. Love (that makes Baby Soft and a Lemon one was great); when I graduated from junior high, I wore a turquoise dress and they had a matching eye shadow, which I worn along with liquid peach face wash, liquid peach face blush and a peach lipstick. Thank you for listening to me. I HAVE OLD MAKEUP which I am not sure what to do with (some of it is expensive and some is a Hodge podge of lower priced ones). I WOULD NEVER touch old mascara. I miss my old makeup buying days, but things have changed drastically financial wise.

Be brave & throw out all that old makeup - no matter how expensive it was. The only exception I personally would make is with powders. First do the smell test. Then test your makeup on a patch of skin, not all over your face. I’m so sorry - your condition sounds terrible. But I’ll bet you have less wrinkles than others your age. Love these videos where you are fresh faced.I love the process. One thing I do is clean a mascara wand when the mascara is done. Use the clean brush for getting something stuck in my lashes. I can’t always see what is in my eye but brushing the lashes often removes it.
