At least you can tell it's the latest SP just by the tank color. Not so the regular and RVE Hypermotard 950s that look exactly the same as the previous years. So some people are going to buy new 2019-2021 models from the dealer (without the gearbox mod) thinking they're getting a 2022 model.

Yes they’re all the same engine/gearbox. Just quickshift, suspension, wheels, etc. differences.

Well, sorry to say the fun factor is being hijacked by the new mt-09 sp…. At least this one has a fuel gauge, and cruise control. And for a lot less $$…. Most hyper owners ride on the street, not on the race track…. A cruise control is handy to unstress the right hand on long highway trips going back home after having a day of fun. All the electronics are there. A simple cruise control suffices. Time to improve Ducati! And while you’re busy, please reduce the sound of the bafflers. I’m being pulled over for db checks these days. And i’m running stock exhausts…. Don’t get me wrong, i still love the bike but it imposes some practical limits. Perfection is however nearby…
