I'm just so in love with this bike. Looking for insurrances as we speak as research for when I get it, but its not cheap for someone like me that just got his bike license in my country. They ask over 350 euros a month for all risk. That could be a problem for me tbh.

When I saw the hyper as concept bike I knew I had to own one.The best up grade was a fuel cell that doubled the capacity.i powder coated the rims gold and put badges next to Ducati on the tank naming the bike “ThunderCat”, I was lucky to find a ThunderCat logo that covers the clutch cover ( I don’t care for the cartoon) but love the name and the bike. The lean clearance is awesome and Diablo Corsa III Tyres stick wonderfully,I feel like a pro wheeling outta corners at lean. The bike has never scared me , it’s predictable and powerful delivery is a joy!!.15 years and I’m still in love.So is my girlfriend ( me and the Cat) I even let her drive .She loves telling people the bikes attributes, and I’m proud hearing her enthusiasm. I have a 2019 Hypermotard that I turned into an RVE. The RVE came out the year after I bought mine. I loved the look. Instead of selling and buying a new one, I turned the one I had into an RVE. Cost about 1800 US, but still saved by not selling and buying new. Has been decatted with an Upmap mapping system. I live in Thailand, so this bike is pretty much free to do what it wants. It really shines driving through the mountains here. I come from the States, and if I was still there, my bike would have been impounded 2 weeks after I got it. The freedom to ride the bike to its pontential , albeit safely, makes this the ultimate Hooligan machine. It's a motocross bike for the streets.

I have a 2021 with only a few hundred miles under the required 9k miles service. I have already had to take in twice because downshifting from 2nd to 1st the bike simply faints. It doesn't happen on the upshifts. As long as the matter is on record and Ducati acknowledges it, I'm fine. Since November past I've only fueled it with non-ethanol, hoping that that will help, but the wrenchers at my local dealership think that the interior of the fuel tank may be a factor in gunking throttle bodies. Last week a clear clutch unit was installed along with a radiator hose with aluminum fins to increase cooling. Thanks for mentioning the jerky throttle; I installed Ducati Spacer; they have helped, but only marginally. I think that people who see that jerking throttle effect think that it's a novice astride the bike; I invite to climb and do better. I've had other Ducati - none of them have done this - even the ones from the early 90s. I've decided that this model is definitely a keeper.
