The funny thing is, if you have CURLY coils, you need HOLD. Like gel, gel. I don’t know how people get by with just with just a curling cream. That whole LOC method is not for me. If there’s no G in the formula, I’m not with it. My hair turns out frizzy and puffy. And the WORST part is, my hair will be flat AND frizzy the next day. What’s the point of a wash and go if it only lasts one day? Maybe I’m just too lazy, but I want my wash and go to last ALL week.

The thing is a lot of gel flakes and that turns people off from gel.. Also a lot of gels are drying and doesn’t hold on coily hair

@@Jessica.Shawnte Totally agree. Flaking or little gel balls. Ugh. A lot of that has to do with the leave in that’s underneath the gel. It takes so much trial and error! I use Cantu leave in condish with Kinky Curly Curling Custard for my gel. It definitely is a GEL, but it’s not as heavy and sticky as Ecco Styler, I find that gel is so heavy, it just leaves my hair stick straight…and that is not cute. I’ve never understood why Ecco Styler is so popular but it must work for a lot of people. I like heavy, but not THAT heavy. What do you use? And do you find it gives you enough hold? I’m “loyal” to KCCC, but I’m always on the lookout for something better (meaning cheaper, let’s be real). I’ve tried just about everything, but I keep coming back.

It’s because everyone’s hair is different. Some people just don’t care for or need that level of hold even when they have tighter coiled hair. Plus there are a lot of people that have coily hair, but it’s fine. They may use gel but it also may be too much or cause their hair to look thinner

They have changed the formula’s in all the old eco styler gels with the old labels. They don’t have the hold the once did. I haven yet tried the eco olive oil in the new label. I will soon find out if it provides the hold I need.

Which formula of Wetline do you use? I just found about 5 different kinds on Amazon and I didn’t know which one to buy! I’ve never tried it and I gave up on Eco Styler about a decade ago. Too sticky and heavy for my fine hairs. It just can’t hold up to that heavy gel. Is Wetline as heavy as Eco Styler?

That stuff did you dirty. 😮 I think it might be ok if you are plaiting a child’s hair. Just enough hold so the plaits don’t puff up before they completely dry and you can spend a relatively hairdo free spring break. I wonder how that moisturizer will work as a blow dry cream, like for a blow out before a silk press. Would the hair be just as soft. 🤔

Am I the only one who’s still using Kinky Curly Curling Custard?? For me, it’s the GOAT of wash & go tools. I’ve recently fallen in LOVE with L'Oréal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Oils Crème Conditioner. Not sure why it’s called a conditioner because it’s really just a gorgeous oily leave it. Under gel, over gel to calm frizz. Pre-poo, even! It lets me detangle with ease, which isn’t a small thing because I have super fine curly/coily hair. It twists around itself to make the most brutal knots. But with this, I can quickly pull those knots apart. Sorry for the epic novel comment. I just had a lot of thoughts…thank you!
