When you have people that have ran major companies, like Home Depot for decades issuing warnings about the economy you know things are not going nearly as well as we're being told. And people in this position noise before most other people do so it would be wise to heed their warnings.

Good evening Lisi and Michael, I posted this in your previous video just in case you didn’t get a chance to see it. We are longtime viewers of your channel and absolutely love your content. I’ve previously posted here and Lisi has been gracious about responding. We are also interested in moving to Palm Coast, Florida and I was just curious to ask if you are still interested in that location? Currently we live in Miami, but we have made a few changes and we are getting closer to actually moving. Miami doesn’t make economical sense for us anymore, we currently pay 3,877.00 on our 3 vehicles car insurance policy every 6 months and will have a savings of over $2,400 per year, just in car insurance by moving and we have great driving records and no claims. Between the property taxes and insurances only on properties and vehicles is an very large savings difference. We can’t wait to move! Plus the services here have drastically degraded and the quality of life here has gone down drastically. Thank you for your input and I appreciate your opinion and response. Thanks again! Have a wonderful evening!

I work for Home Depot. This revenue decline was anticipated years ago. Every Retail Company understands this. The Pandemic spending was "Temporary Stimulus". I don't really understand why this is difficult to understand?! What we care about is having healthy home owners, which means you are not house(or apartment) poor. Home Depot is all in on housing, and so am I. Over the long term housing will generate a positive ROI. Interestingly enough, there are A LOT of homes on the market in plenty of places UNDER $150K, $100K, and $50K that are turn key or fixer uppers. Yes there are, so look around. These homes may not be in the area you want, but they are there. So it's your decision. I would rather live ~1 hour away from a major city in a house now worth $200K with a $100K mortgage because I fixed myself with a low mortgage, than pay $3000 in rent just to survive in "the city". Despite that, DO NOT buy something you can't afford (turn key or fixer upper). If you can buy and deal with a fixer upper, then go ahead. You will build out your home the way you want, learn how to fix problems, and you made a major investment in your self and your home which is now worth 1.5x - 2x it's price when you decide to sell.

High interest rate causes house market declining, less people are buying houses. more empty comericial buildings are converted into residential condos wich results in rental declining.After covid, more people are working at home, artificial intelligence technology has eliminated many office jobs, and commercial buildings are vacant and converted into apartments.

I believe that for the market to normalize, there must be a minimum 40% decline in home prices. It is advisable that you get advice for appropriate portfolio allocation from a knowledgeable advisor if you are unsure about purchasing a home. That's how I've managed to survive for the past five years and accumulate about $1 million in investment returns.

Companies aren’t paying to advertise, and so I’ve seen half the carts with the black plastic ad space , and half the carts with ads . Also, did anyone have a bbq for Memorial Day ?? Hi Michael. I just lost my job to a "Privatr Equity" investor. Five wasted years for nothing. I'm 66 and you want me to get a side hustle now? For what? chump chamge? I wanted to make it to 70 but some prick made my decision for me. If it was only so simple. I know what is to be young, but you don't know what it is to be old. It ain't that easy.

I'm so sorry someone did that to you. I was a teacher for thirty years and retired early, but the truth is, I was pushed out--the new admins thought my salary was too high and they made my life a living hell until I couldn't take it anymore. I didn't sleep well for a year because of the stress. I once had a dean who said "I'm going to give you one piece of advice: don't get old." I didn't understand what he was talking about until it was my turn. I hope you're able to manage a decent retirement. Overseas may be an option for you if the US cost of living is too high. Take care.

I don't watch the media but the news that you present has enough to know issues going on without riding the emotional rollercoaster if I were to watch the news everyday. He’s not always right . My entire family lives in Florida and some of the stuff he says is flat out lies . Like that BS about Cleaning ladies and butlers making up to $150,000 in Florida . Tell that to my family who do this for a living and can’t get paid more than min wage. And yes they are experts and have been working in cleaning jobs for decades . Literally DECADES . Nobody is making decent money as a cleaning woman . NOBODY . And what the rich do is call the cleaning agency ONCE. Then they just steal the cleaning woman, she ends up working for the family and soon they will have her cook, and take care of their brats as well as clean and the woman can’t leave coz her employer knows she is working for some rich family and won’t hire her back . She’s been black listed . So either u stay working for your employer who’s keeping most of the money or u allow yourself to be stolen by some rich family, who will use and abuse u, IF you’re extremely lucky u will find a good family. But that’s rare . Ppl never leave those kind of families . Literally never. Florida is even worse than my NJ. And my hometown of NYC where Im from, is even worse. I haven’t gone back since i moved here by the Jersey Shore.

The lunch specials, soup or small house salad and a burger, salad or sup and cheese steak. Fries, pickles etc. One import draft one gin and tonic. Bill $56 and change. Burger $14.95 cheese steak $16.95 NOW... In a rest stop McDonald's on I-95 in CT, meal deals $16.99-17.99-18.99-19.99 and some above 20 Bucks. Obviously, no alcohol. I'll be damned if I paid them those prices as opposed to sitting down to a table, real plates, real silverware. They went just too far with this "transitory inflation" BS. It's funny you say that. Monday of this week was Memorial day, so no mail. Mail was delivered Tuesday at 7 PM. I'm one of the last houses, if not the last, of the day. Lack of staff? If so, how? How, when I can go on indeed and see that a job for a dishwasher at Denny's has hundreds of applicants? How can they not get people to deliver mail for 25 dollars an hour, but Denny's is so overwhelmed (with applications for 15 dollar an hour jobs?) And over worked that there are also management position(s) posted for the same store. I mean really try to wrap your head around this. Saying it's just people trying to stay on unemployment isn't good enough. The problems seem so simple to solve, but somehow they are unsolvable. It's a social wedge. No one has any real incentive to care because identity is all anyone has anymore that offers any kind of a thrill. It's being abused like crack; we're going wild, we don't care about the consequences. Solving problems is important sure, but it's someone else's job, and like Greta, we don't offer or expect solutions, we just demand them, especially during election season. God bless the stonks and the batchlers degree, line goes up for good girls and boys, unless they are ugly or smell bad. Amen.

There is so much government debt that generations yet unborn will be paying this debt off. Its not only the vast amounts of money wasted by the government, its that a pretty significant part of the population gets free government money but does not produce anything. So they push up demand and compete with working class people for products and services and they do not produce products or services, classic cause of inflation. For instance the house across the street from me is section 8, they do not work, they have been given a house worth close to a million dollars, I am sure they get Snap and other programs too, and they do not lift a finger, while I and many other working class people have to work our butt off. Then they treat the property like garbage, they cause trouble in the neighborhood and some people are thinking of moving, because the Government is giving out money it should not give out and we are paying to by abused. Now because of government money that house is not on the market, which drives of property costs and keeps honest hard working people on the tread mill as slave labor while others who do not work and contribute for almost their entire lives get everything, and I mean everything including health care for free. They actually evicted some renters today in my neighborhood who were also trouble and from what I could tell were also section 8, and we live in a decent neighborhood but the government has to work to destroy it by being "Kind and generous" with tax payer money and lives.

@scottperry7311
@scottperry7311 28 күн бұрын
@@grimaffiliations3671 Yes it will be rolled over into new debt that will crush the economy and leave them poor. It will cause massive inflation, it will limit the ability of the government to function, it will cause massive taxes, it will cause a brain drain as people flee for a better life. So future generations will pay for it, maybe they will flee the burden of it so in that sense you are correct, but otherwise the price will be paid one way or another. The only think that has stopped this from happening yet is that the US dollar is the reserve currency for the world, if it had not been and when it is no longer the reserve currency we will suffer the fate of every country that has taken on unsupportable debt. We have been foolish, we have spent future generations money today for short term comfort. I understand very well how government finance works and I understand exactly what happens when it reaches its limits, there are plenty of historical examples of what happens when a country cant repay its debt. It can happen here don't think it cant.

Who is to say people will stop coming out to eat and my good job will not be that great anymore. It has slowed down lately. But with the prices of food cost going up my 20% tips or more it is evening out. Until I go food shopping and pay for gas, cloths, or anything else I have less to put away for retirement.
