Absolutely beautiful! You have to grow up with this music to truly understand its significance in the music industry. Timeless classics like this can be enjoyable with that special person whether you have the regular version or instrumental. I’m 48 years young. New Edition will forever be the Greatest group of all time. The next group hasn’t been born yet 😂

@CR055F1RE A lot of songs today are simplified with very few instruments. Music back then used as many instruments as needed to make the song nice full and fat.

Jelani Stokes im 16 and have always loved music like this. My mom did good bringing me up on everything diverse genre wise from all generations. My favourite eras will always be hands down the 60, 70, 80, and the 90s. And that’s IF we are listing them, if i had too choose one it would be the 70s. Each era has it’s own signature that is tied to certain memories for me and i just love how each of them are beautifully made. From pop, rock, funk and groove, as well as others are all so magnificently made. I was born 2003 so as i got older I obviously heard songs from 2005 and up which i loved as well but my old soul will ALWAYS have the 60s and everyone else in my playlists. It just never gets old, and with this song in particular, the orchestra will never get old🤟🏽

This song was electronic too...it’s just the keyboard used was rare and expensive.

yea this was super synthetic lol, the era was full of drum machines and synthesizers galore. nothing against it, love that sound

Next to Johnny Gill's vocals my favorite part of this song is the snare drum. It still amazes me how Jam and Lewis matched such a powerful sound with such a tender and delicate ballad. Genius...

even if im young honestly i rarely like today's pop music... i dont like pop at all... the closest i like is alanis morissette and few other artists that likes to make an older style like tame impala and some "vaporwave" artists... i dont really like saying vaporwave cuz it got the valid stereotype that are slowed down songs.... instead of a brand new... well.. and when is a new song it soubd like older ones and the feelings songs like these including this video makes me feel calm and happy... it make me feel something... idk what it could be.... i havent lived these days but im attatched to their songs just like im attatched to the late 90's and early 2000's internet... well i had contact with the 2000's internet and i miss it...things werent so commercial or centered on having more likes or whatever... people seemed to have a soul abd use internet to make things they think is nice and cool... not making drama on twitter or facebook... 4chan was a funny place hehe... sometimes i just want to the internet back to how it was... back to have that fun... and what i miss too is that that time internet was a mysterious place and it was just perfect... the simple sites design that have only text logo and background... not these all effects that have on sotes slowing it down.. and i think isnt appealing for my eyes anyways.. so for me is a waste of time money and well... performance.. what i mean is... today days can be good... but people have to seek for be happy and spread it like it was before... or at least be honest when u talk bout ur feelings abd life... not saying u and everything bout ur life are perfect... but ever tough that people pretending being happy arent happy? ever tough they show only body cuz they have nothing more to offer? if they stop for a time to think bout themselves they will feel empty... cuz there isnt so much inside them... just their fake reality

On a perfect day, I know that I can count on you When that's not possible Tell me can you weather the storm? 'Cause I need somebody who will stand by me Through the good times and bad times She will always, always be right there Sunny days, everybody loves them Tell me baby can you stand the rain? Storms will come This we know for sure (This we know for sure) Can you stand the rain? Love unconditional, I'm not asking just of you And girl to make it last I'll do whatever needs to be done But I need somebody who will stand by me When it's tough she won't run She will always, be right there for me Sunny days, everybody loves them, tell me, baby Can you stand the rain? (Can you stand it?) Storms will come (I know, I know all the days won't be perfect) This we know for sure (But tell me can you stand it) Can you stand the rain? (Can you stand the rain?) Can you stand the rain (Can you stand the rain?) (No pressure, no pressure from me, baby) This we know for sure Can you stand the rain ('Cause I want you, and I need you, and I love you, girl) (Tell me, baby) Can you stand the rain (Will you be there for me?) Can you stand the rain (Can you stand the rain?) Can you stand the rain (Will you be there, girl?) Can you stand the rain (Storms will come for sure) Can you stand the rain (Can you stand the rain?) Can you stand the rain (This we know for sure) Can you stand the rain Can you stand the rain (This we know for sure) Can you stand the rain Can you stand the rain (This we know for sure) Can you stand the rain Can you stand the rain Yeah, it's gonna but I know, I know I'll be right there (Can you stand the rain)

As skies salivate, I feel the earth move in lights I lose to illustrate, with less in view I feel less confused and choose to demonstrate, this destitute in absolute mess in a festival of less than great inner face, see my soul, hold my lower class like a soul amassed control over folds of time I can't get back like it's facts that's stole, she's never mine, but she defines the mold, the water keeps trimming, and she's left out swimming with sharks in cold parts that drown her glow, I want her in my heart to hold, but I feel it's never good enough to raise her up like designer clothes, I wish I could remind her most, tell her how she shines and captures my mind like codes, I need instructions, give me a chance bet, let me win in your favor, like answers in pamphlets, lead me to your ring of title waves, we can splash trades as I scratch at your spinal brace, here's more for her support system, it's never a final phase, we can play four if you let my oar slip in, lets dip indoors, let our force lift our spirits like slick rhythms, set in course, with no remorse given when we're kissing with less friction, made like abrupt tangles from missed angled chords that don't flow with sore distance, let's close your gap, I can be the middle man if you can rain on my shower cap,
