Hard times introduced me to this type of music around 18-19 struggling with addiction, before that strictly drill and rap and same with most of my peers. My family and some of the peers were ROCK ROCK ROCK OR “YOU HAVE NO TASTE” but living in halfway houses for a few years all my older friends (20-30 yrs difference) and my boss put me on! N now I love it. The type of music you listen to definitely has a direct influence, precisely, on the way we perceive life and how we think and act and I love it! May have been a life saver but I don’t want to get into that.

My dad passed away a couple of days ago. He was my ideal image of what a man is. He taught me things about life that the internet could never show me. And I was strong to be there for my brothers and extended family in our darkest hour. I pulled this song up two days later because I felt everything hitting me like a delayed fuse. I listened to it and just....talked. I told my dad "I know you're listening and you see me like this, but you understand.... Strong men cry, too." Let's just enjoy what brought us together. NE from the 80s, NE story, The Best man holiday. Does it really matter? You don't have to be with someone from Day 1 to be real/be a real fan. Next you will bash us after they're dead. "Nuna yall was here before he passed away". Newsflash this is 2017 not 1987.
