I heard guy mention exhaling at the bottom of your lift. You exhale at the bottom in the hole?

What is the reasoning for exhaling when squatting? I’ve always heard that I should hold it until the top
@Perkthe74kg9 ай бұрын
Tbh the closest i could compare it to is when boxers exhale through pierced lips to get that short burst of power.

Love the content man, just a couple of questions, what length wrist wraps do you recommend/use? How much did you/ do you recommend downsizing on knee sleeves? And when you are doing like squats/deadlifts/bench do you just walk in to the gym and get straight to it or do you do some stretches/ mobility stuff first, just to warm up.
@Perkthe74kg9 ай бұрын
So i use the medium stuff and wrist wraps. I wear a size small knee sleeve for training and XS for training. I do warmups in the gym before getting under barbell

That might've been the most difficult looking set of squats I'd ever seen from you. Still chill but first time it didn't look like air on rep work.

Do you have any tips for achieving a better bench arch? As my back doesn’t feel flexible enough to hold a good arch.
@Perkthe74kg9 ай бұрын
tbh i think a good roll out before helps. I also get a foam roller and put it on the bench and try and get my arch like that

Hey man, why dont u squat with stiffer knee sleeves like Inzer ergo pros? Wouldn't they add more into your squat? Or they are just too uncomfortable for you?
@Perkthe74kg9 ай бұрын
inzers help with making your leg feel tight but a lot of people are in between sizes. I like the PL SBDs because they compress my leg without cutting off circulation

Thanks for the video! The new combo and carpet look great! Are they releasing this white color or just the upgraded pad? Do you like this SKAI pad more than the PUR that they have been using for a long time? I know the PUR has a small area that has grip that the new SKAI pad doesn't have so not sure if that would make it more slippery than the PUR one. Would love your feedback on the pad! Thanks!
@Perkthe74kg9 ай бұрын
I honestly like the new pad more. The slight give in it helps me set my shoulders better on bench.
@rolandmarkus61889 ай бұрын
Hi Perk! Do you find the new powerlifting SBD sleeves to be more stiff / adding more to your squats then the old ones? Thank you so much for your answer!
@Perkthe74kg9 ай бұрын
I would say they have a much better compression. If I had to choose between the two I would choose the PL sleeve

@Perkthe74kg Problem is I'm still so new that it's hard to really know what is best for me and a lot of my tendencies were kind of arbitrary or unconscious choices when i didn't know better. After these changes I'm holding them at least for 4-6 months to evaluate.
