@@admontblanc don't get me wrong Electrumite raises the ceiling of the deck. I just mean there are cases where you dont need to go in the extra deck or only go into the extra deck once (Electrumite) and still have multiple negation while abusing spell counters to protect your board.

I've been playing around with tempest magician otk/ftk versions of this deck using tuner magician sometimes. Also I would sometimes use a copy of luster pendulum and two or three magical exemplars as a way to generate loads of counters and search whatever pendulum cards you want. Also found wavering eyes to be decently tasty in this deck for more searches and counters and great in the mirror of course.

i've been fiddling with many versions and after seeing how much mythical beasts have become so expensive.i came up with a similar pend magician endymion focused build without mythical beasts and came to a pure endymion with 3 duelist alliance 3 pendulum call 3 harmonizing 3 purple poison 3 black fang 1 xiangke magician. with 3 citadel 3 spell power control 2 terra 3 pot of desires 3 supreme 2 reflection 2 magister 3 servant 3 abductor with mythical beasts being so expensive this budget variant may be pleasurable for others on a somewhat tighter budget. extra deck can consist of the appropriate links, and strong level 8 synchros like ignister and supreme king clear wing and good rank 4's like evilswarm knightmare and bagooska or sk dark rebellion. in mirror matches on ygopro it's pretty even playing field with super high consistency. i hope players will like the budget this offers

Hmm after this the current meta for the TCG format might be the following in no particular order 1. Salamangreat (still great unless sunlightwolf or gazelle goes limited) 2. ThunderDragons (colossus might goes to limited section ITF) 3. Sky Striker (TCG might follow the SS ban on the OCG so..... Byebye i guess) 4. Pendulums (it depends on your build, some might run endymion beast, some PM endymion beast, some are guardragon PM, others might build kaliyuga rush) 5. Orcust (still the best negator) 6. True draco (even without masterpiece still strong) 7. Nekroz (shurit hype but in the ocg nekroz is categorized as rouge) 8. BA (i don't think it might exist in the current meta even in the OCG #BAdied, unless salads or orcust got hit in this banlist) 9. Altergeist (still strong in the TCG, died in the OCG) 10. Trickstar (still strong as F in the TCG #stayingalive, in the ocg still strong after hits on them ex. Reincarnation to one and candina to two)

Second hand, you should add Endymion citidel first and then go off with the beast plays. You can use electromite to send a Servant to the extra deck, and add her with the pop on King’s gate. You can then use citidel to bring out servant and another Endymion or jacket after your pendulum scale plays.

If you're not playing the pure variant of this deck, then the only Endymion cards you should splash with Pendulum Magicians are 3 Servant, 2-3 Spell Power Control, and 1 Sorcerer Supreme. The same goes for the Zefra build (which I think is better with the Endymion cards since they play way more spells). Also, in the deck list (and deck profile), you only listed 37 cards. I'm not sure if the 3 missing cards are Pendulum Call (makes sense), but just thought I should point that out.

The reason he didn't do it is because you don't consider randomly drawn cards in combo tutorials/random hands. You're trying to see how far you can go with the hand you got, and most people flip "Drawn" cards over to signify card advantage.

Lol this deck poor hand recovery. Its a cool deck and i think it has potential. Id almost cut the master Cerberus out. Keep jackle and tech in library for draw power. Even though you have protection against spell and traps and a few monster blocks. I could see this deck being a good match against sky strikers. Think if you do another video id like it to be a test match against the top decks.

Spell Power Control should be played at 3 just like you should play 3 Pen Call in regular magicians for the exact same reason.

If you can fit a non pendulum dragon monster that is level 4 or lower somewhere then you can do the full guardragon combo off of a single darkwurm and 3 arrows

@@Ridleyslayer1102 you make elpy, search for the dragon, use that to make pisty to bring that back, use elpy and the dragon to make agrapain on the rightmost arrow, then make red archfiend. Then, you can link the link 3 or 4, pisty, and agrapain into borreload, borrelsword, or saruja. If you made saruja, you can use tge effect to special summon to keep going and keep extending

Zefra is better at exploiting the spell counter strategy, PenMag is like the omni deck, does everything any other deck does and has better going 2nd tools. I think that PenMag work better with just adding the Supreme Endymion copies and be done with it, for the absolute strongest build ofc.

@@TLETCG imo yes, I have seen PenMag played with virtually anything, even Zefras, and it's always PenMag that makes the rest better. Strong points that are unique to Magicians and can mostl be exploited by them are: Harmonizing - 1 card any summon type Purple Poison/Black Fang - insane scale to monster effects that make your life easier going 2nd Pendulumgraphs - fallen a bit out favour with Double Iris ban but not only do they let you replenish/control resources they offer one sided, blanket targetting protection to all spellcasters you control All builds are valid though, Pure Endymion with MB is great at setting up boards that aren't overly dependant on Electrumite. Zefras add in solid combos that end in extra negations, while being also more solid at setting up the spell counter effects. PenMag imo is already so good by itself that it becomes hard to have to cut much to fit in this engine, unless it's just a couple cards, but it can definitely fit itself ina more spell counter heavy build like Tom did here. All in all you should maybe build them all and try to see which works best for you. This is what makes pendulum my favourite mechanic, you get so much freedom to build your deck and stll have it be good that the fun is neverending.

I think the Zefra build has a higher ceiling, especially when it goes first. That being said, I'll probably use the Pen mag build because as the other guy said, it feels like it has more tools for when you go second. Also, we don't have Denglong in the TCG, though that may not end up affecting TCG Zef/Endy that much.

Very good question. From the hundreds of games I playtested Pure Endymion with mythical beasts and the level one jackal are the best to me. Zefra is insane but with no needlefiber and denglong it's just not what it could be. Magicians ala what tombox is playing is really good but the issue arises of dragon shrine and cards getting in the way of fluidly doing the same thing over and over again. Pend magician boards will be a tad more unbreakable but pure purs up boards of supreme, double jackal king or magister with a zeframetaltron and it just leads to the same setup imo. Striker will also be a variant and of course techs like curtain raiser etc will be possible. The first few weeks will let us know

PenMags maybe with a small Endymion package mostly focused on the big boss itself. It does the same thing the others do, can use all of their engines if needed or preferred by the player, and it has the best going 2nd win rate of all pendulum decks.

You only have to remove 3 for the effect if they have more than that you still gain a counter regardless so it's a net -1 on counters if it goes off.

With servant it says “Each time a spell card is activated, place 1 spell counter on this card when the spell resolves” So when exactly does she get the spell counter? Once it’s activated or once it resolves? Because as he adds a card to the pendulum zone even if it can’t resolve he’s adding a spell counter. I’m looking to build this deck and am just asking for clarification so I do not misplay while play testing the deck before my locals.

If I were to rank them it would be 1. Mythical 2.Pend 3.Zefra Mythical beast have the best synergy with them. Their more consistant then the other two but the trade off is disruption can be a big problem though if the opponent has ghost ogre. Pend and Zefra have more versatility and better comeback ability, but it results in less consistency. Honesty it just comes down to preference. I just put mythical at the top since I prefer the more consistent hands, but play whatever you feels is best.

The more I try it, the more I heavily dislike Pendulum and Darkwurm engines in this deck. It bricks too much for me (bad luck) with Time Gazer and Gate zero. Any Electrumite plays get stuffed by hand traps, so turboing him out feels like a horrible idea most of the time. I'd even go so far as to say that it sucks right now. I'm taking the said engines out and I'm gonna try a bunch of stupid ideas to get it working. I really like the deck. Won't be meta till someone discovers something crazy, if that ever happens.

The deck is pretty good, servant is broken but you dont have too many spell cards to utilize it.
