As a Bills fan, this is how I expected the game to go. Divisional games are always so weird, Baltimore and Pittsburgh both lost to the Browns so I'm still grateful for this performance. Drake Maye looks impressive too great poise for his age dropped a couple of dimes too they need to get him some weapons and they could have a future with him.

It wasn’t even that bad though. The Bills game plan relied on running the ball and just getting through this game. They didn’t need to beat the patriots, just get a win, and they got it. Honestly the way this year has gone for the Pats this game is still progress. Stopping the Bills 30+ points per game streak, scoring just over 20 for the first time in a while. O line played better but that's not saying much. My focus has been on next year for a while and there are pieces of this game that keep me hopeful. Lots to clean up, but the skeleton of a winning season is there.

If there's no one open, he's just going to throw it away, and then it's 4th down and they punt it. Josh has been known to go for a 50-50 ball when that happens, and he pinned 'em on the 1 yard line. So better outcome than a punt. I didn't have a problem with the throw.

The pick was an arm punt and he pinned them down at the 1. I have no problem with Allen throwing a deep bomb 50-50 ball on 3rd down if everyone is covered. Main issue with that throw was that Keon is new and him and Allen aren't completed sync'd up yet. Keon stopped, which resulted in him not making a play on the ball.

If it gets picked, tackle the defender in the end zone and put them on the 20, or in this case the defender makes a bonehead play and takes it out to the 1 before getting tackled. No difference at all between that and throwing the ball away and punting on 4th down.

Not too surprising really. Brady had a distinct advantage in that he played his entire Patriots career under one head coach and only had three different offensive coordinators, he never had to deal with a completely new playbook, they only tweaked it and expanded it. Playing under those circumstances over a 20 year period, he'd seen just about everything an opposing defense could possibly try and knew every little play-call adjustment to counter with. I don't know if any other NFL qb ever had that much organizational stability, certainly not for that long.

Bills fans. Y'all gotta do better on this MVP noise. You played a divisional rival. Throw out all the usual stats. Those games can go either way. Allen deserves praise for winning no matter how he got the win against them. But you can't praise Allen for barely getting by the Pats and knock Lamar for losing to their divisional rival, the Browns, when anybody watching that game knows it wasn't Lamar's fault they lost. If you want to say Allen is MVP because he has his team with a better record, then great. I can't argue that. Fast forward now and a few weeks ago Lamar struggled against Pitt and went 16/33 58 QBR and an int and loss while during that span Allen went 14TD and 1 INT and beat the 2 best teams. Theyre both consistant with a few bad games here and there lol. Difference is Allen/Bills still won this game.
