We all appreciate it and I cannot emphasise how much I was going back and forth on IG trying to compare the re-releases to work out the changes. I loved the added mattes but I'm sad to lose the one blue shimmer and honestly sick and tired of holos, so don't love the change with the shimmers. But this was my favorite palette from last year and mine has been well loved so I picked the new up anyway.

I have the old Strawberry Moon palette. Too expensive to replace it with the updated one. Wish I had the coral and yellow matte shades.And having a mirror is much better. Love both of the looks you created, very pretty!

I love how you show all shades in different lighting and with a mirror, I appreciate that the palette is beautiful but I have to say, it doesn't scream at me as some other ER palettes so I shall skip 😇

I love this comparison! You did amazing! I’m happy to hear you noticed a slight improvement with the formula. That’s what I was hoping for and I could see based on swatches. They look a bit better. I love the additional mattes so much. The Holo are fun additions. I think it’s worth it to get it if you want those new additions. They really made it more worth it. I’m so excited to get both and see you get the new Flower Moon too. 😍💚✨

Rose Moon is my favorite multichrome in my rather extensive collection (I’ve received so many compliments when I’ve worn it), so I was really worried when I heard they’d changed it. So what happens with all the folks who purchased the first addition? They have to repurchase? I don’t like it when brands do that. Adept Cosmetics did that with their first palette and I felt cheated. I didn’t purchase the first one and I love this second one but still. I feel like if brands are gonna do this that they offer singles of what’s new and changed, to the ones who supported your brand when purchasing the original. I love Ensley Reign and Adept so I’ll keep supporting them regardless just wanted to see what others opinions may be. 🙂

I definitely see what you mean. I understand why people would be upset. That is a could idea about selling singles for the people who purchased the first palette. Maybe for a limited time or something. I purchased the og palette myself, but I personally don't feel cheated when brands update the formulas/packaging. I feel like that is just part of it. They are listening to customer feedback and trying to make improvements where they can. Brands can't please everyone. I'm glad I'm not a brand owner🤣

I think the change was done too soon. This palette has been revamped after not even a full year of existence, I had gotten mine from monolith in the January (2024) restock.Even if it's a little bit minor, that nothing was made for OG owners feels icky to me. At least have the 2 holos shades as singles as these are quite popular (I personally don't care for them now, I have enough).

They look the same to me. I tried reading on the ER IG and website to see if they had a list of shade changes or formula upgrades. I never found any information. Imo Lunar Glow is the same in both palettes. ♡♡

There are 5 shades different. If you have IG under the restock post they answered my question in detail on which shades are different and it was really helpful to cross reference.

Does the new strawberry moon have the squishy type shimmers? I noticed you said the new cosmic dream does not? I was gonna get the cosmic dream palette but I think I'm leaning towards getting this one.

There are a couple of softer shades in this one. Not extremely squishy though.
