We were talking about this among our guild. One person hitting time stop on a raid boss (extra helplessness), another hitting turn the tide (10%extra damage), a ranger marks the boss, and all the DPS hit their Fury attacks and that boss is going to go down like a kobold from the sewer! lol

absolutely, i can see coordinating epic moments being a big raid strategy going forward.. have everyone else activate them all at once then the magus uses time stop & watch the boss dissolve

Looks like Necromancer Cleric will have some nice Epic buffs.

My Death domain Cleric is a MONSTER with the new epic destinies (not that he wasn't a monster already ..)

Greetings from Argonessen! Additional note: "there's some spell pen" is significant .. many times, it is not a MoB's saving throw that spares them from an instant kill effect, but their spell resistance. Slay, finger, circle, wail, destruction, phantasmal killer .. all great for eliminating single (or multiple in some cases, and we should include implosion here, too) enemies. If you don't have spell pen from past lives, getting it in your epic destiny tree can make a BIG difference between being a valuable party member and being extra scaling.

Absolutely! Spell penetration is HUGE When you cast, and the mob gets a blue flash around them with no effect .. that was them resisting your spells. Are you getting that with your 60+ dc spell casters? You need spell pen!

Oh yeah .. and greets from Argo, too - I think that's where Strim does his thing

The AOE spell damage every 2 seconds does not appear too scale with spell power, meaning it only does like 300 a tick. The explosion does scale though.

It is supposed to scale, hopefully will be fixed for next preview.

Strimtom, I watched your video and have a question on Negative/Poison; there will be a future new Epic Destiny focussing on Poison, which means that it is really focussing on one single Class Enchancement, Alchemist's Vile Chemist. This seems an extremely poor design choice with the current poison spell/ability choices. An Epic Destiny for just a single class and only applicable for one of the enhancement trees? As Poison Spell Power is Negative Spell Power (as well as spell critical chance), why not simply add a poison choice to Magus of the Eclipse? Add a Conjuration Spell DC option and it seems to me Vile Chemist would be covered. Am I missing something? I understand that Poison doesn't really fit into the "eclipse" theme/imagery but an entire ED for one class option?

Hi David. Draconic incarnation, Primal Avatar, and the NEW Serpent tree will all support the poison playstyle. Additionally, Poison is not just a vile chemist thing, but also a bombardier and apthecary thing. All alchemists use poison on some level. I don't expect to see Serpent be just poison and not support other play styles, especially given monks ninja spy also uses poison, and rogues may be able to use it as well with their poison. At the end of the day, I am going to wait until I see the serpent until I make judgements about what the serpent is.

will this tree already be leveled up for us if we had magister maxed out previously?
@Strimtom3 жыл бұрын
In the new system you get points as you level up. No more levelling trees, but you start with 12 points (or more if you have past lives) and get more from levels.

R.I.P. DDO, trying to sell this garbage update as something good, is an evil act. You have damaged your karma. No luck for you for some time, I have spoken.
