Nice one, Colin. I hope you've had a great Christmas and I wish you a Happy New Year. PoI's: 1) @ 3:13 mins, it certainly looks like quite a few lighting strip units in damp cardboard boxes. The scaffolding looks as though it'll be going higher and the platforms are doing one or both of two jobs: a) as a higher temporary contractor access or b) a form of protection from work that will continue above. 2) @ 4:50 mins, it might be interesting to have a very, very short, closer look at what work is going on with the other scaffolding, on the buildings on Regent Road, opposite the North, vehicular entrance. 3) @ 5:56 mins, thanks for that 'special ' chance to look under the overhang, showing how wide it is for vehicles 4) @ 7:41 mins, I am curious as to what the new structure is on the middle-front of the SE roof area. There's definitely earthing cable laid across the SE corner area, attached to the steels. I expect to see some new activity up there, especially as they have laid an area of protective matting on the plaza roughly below that. I agree that it's a layer of paint, but why is the SE corner singled out for earthing, I wonder. There are definitely electrical cabinets on that roofing, both under the barrel-cladding but also on the exposed area behind the castellations, as you can see the conduit running along the base of the East Stand Mansard Roof to the new structure in the middle of the castellations (seen again @18:36 mins). 5) @ 14:29, it was interesting to see where the line was between granite and tarmac under the mezzanine.

Thanks, I had been planning the trip for a few days but the fog not lifting for days wasn’t helping, I had tried 2 days earlier and successfully got the scaffolding and underneath the north stand and the fog suddenly got thicker and I couldn’t see the stadium from regents road so ended up having to give up. I had planned a nice low flight along the plaza until the security guard decided to walk along it! Hopefully now people see how little space those two cars took up under the north stand there will be no more questions about the team coaches fitting under there! Will keep an eye on what progresses with the scaffolding and the SE corner, it was good to come away with more questions than answers.

3:46 I was thinking they were lights too, I really hope so because the north stand needs some!! 👍
@davidbadcock22252 сағат бұрын
Joel: although lighting is one of many possibilities, those potential units are nothing like the other lighting units on nthe E, S and W sides. The North Stand doesn't need a whole lot of lighting anyway as it's not really on display to people on the ground or from prominent viewpoints. The E, S and W views are way more important. Like anyone else, I watch with interest to see what develops.

8:37 you’re right these are earthing cables for lightning conductors, it did look from a distance that this were joints in a sheeting material but I think not now thanks to your zoom.
@davidbadcock22252 сағат бұрын
Yes, I'm certain they're earthing cables, as one can see clearly they are affixed to the steels. However, it raises another question altogether: why are they needed in particular at that corner roof? Look closely and one can see that there is a separate electrical control panel and conduit near the edge. There is also a new, probable temporary structure which has appeared almost attached to the castellation of the brick facade and a large area of protective matting down below on the plaza nearby.
@bryanroza7527Сағат бұрын
That scaffolding going up is possibly to finish painting to all steels you can see there a lot of primed grey steel still to be finished to white to complement the other end of the stand.

Have you seen the blue lights getting brighter at night on the barrel cladding? I hope the engineers designed for that because the lighting doesn’t look right.

All the units have about 20 separate LED's in them with remote control for varying brightness and spread. I recommend patience.

Pretty sure the material on the south east corner roof you were wondering about is conduit for cables of some sort. Either power or control or both if it's PoE.

@stephenlinden-wyatt-ys8vy4 сағат бұрын
That’s because the stadium isn’t finished! LOR have handed the keys over to Everton but they are still on site to complete their work, oversee snagging issues and then there are independent contractors still working.
@rosse67053 сағат бұрын
It won't be completely finished for another 3-6 months. It's just that the main contractor has pretty much done everything they need to do, now they hand it over to Everton who have other firms coming in to do the remaining jobs.
