Years ago we had quite a few players come up from our youth team, it was known as one of the best although in recent years our prospects haven’t progressed into their potential

@Katie_the_evertonian...Hello, Yes indeed it will be a sad day for Toffees fans, & for me as it was the first ever football ground I visited with my late Father as a 10yo back in February 1971 when you beat my team (Derby County) 1-0 in the FA Cup 5th round with Dave Johnson scoring, If i'm right in thinking Everton had the majority of their title winning team on show that day The holy trinity as you call them Kendall Ball Harvey Gordon West in goal Morrissey on the wings, Our teams were criss- crossing, Everton were about to go into transition & the Rams were building their own title winning side under Mr Clough, We're both enduring bad moments but true supporters have to...Keep The Faith, PS The stadium is going to be a jewel in the crown when it's completed

It's always incredibly sad when any football club leaves their home ground when it's such an historic and massively loved place as Goodison Park it's even more difficult . That said the new stadium looks amazing and I wish the club and it's fans a brilliant and successful future.

Great film. Can't help think, who the heck works out all the order of things on such a huge build. Still, shame to see Goodison go, one of the last old big stadiums. Hope they do what Arsenal did and save some of old architecture, in Evertons case Archibald Leitch (sp) buildings. I went to Goodison 3 times (as a Sheff U fan). I don't really follow football anymore, but I still love stadiums.
