@@sofattia7940you aren’t really justifying it. The point is people are upset they are charging such a high price for pixels in a video game. Regardless if the game is free or not. People like skins. So much so, they may be willing to buy skins for their favorite champions. But putting a $150-$300 price tag on it is a huge deterrent, which in turn causes outrage. Are you following?

​​​@@Ohkemos I don't know about him but I'm following, and the way you explained makes it truly sound immature, like a child's tantrum when they can't get the 3rd something they decided they want on the same day from their parents just for existing. Yes it's very expensive for a bunch of pixels on a computer to the point it's ridiculous. BUT what he said still applies, you don't want to spend that much then don't, if you want a skin there are cheaper ones, it's not like every single skin costs that much, some people that have the money will buy the most expensive to have bragging rights. What's important is that the game is F2P and anything paid in the game is not making the game P2W, everything paid is just cosmetics. Edit: also what I said about bragging rights is also important, at some point in time just any kind of skin was purely so you could brag about it to your friends, having or not having skins didn't decide whether you actually like your main champ or not. Skins by itself were supposed to be something additional, not something that was required for you to enjoy the champ. All that became a thing in players brains because the skins were quite easy to achieve earlier with the whole chests things etc.

I've played for 20 years, and Morde I one tricked in all lanes for 8 years. While I highly disagree with any skin being that expensive, I've blown more on regular Morde skins over several accounts because I love that chanpion. I can buy it on my main and that's it. I hate how expensive it is tho, but I've played Morde for so damn long. Ironically, I was also considering getting the Faker Edition Razer Deathadder V3 Pro as memorabilia for Faker being the first one Into the Hall of Fame. When you play League for a decade, certain things are purchased from nostalgia alone, kinda like limited edition GameBoys. I also purchased a light up Mordekaiser figurine with a Certificate of Authenticity. We all place value on things, tho I do find the practice of having a limited edition skin be so pricey predatory, as some of us will have to make a really stupid financial descision for something we Love. My only financial justification for blowing so much money on a skin is that it's going to help keep the game alive via funding. I really hope League is around for awhile

First off, Riot doesn't scam sht. They have been mostly free to play since its inception. Skins doesnt give any p2w aspects and doesn't FORCE players to buy these skins. You have been getting the luxury of chests for more than what 6-8 years? Those who will buy these skins are collectors who loves the champions and the lore behind them, if you cant afford it just stfu, you're not the target audience. If you're just a casual player, just play and be satisfied with your epic and legendary skins. No way you just have to b*tch every time they release a luxury skins for those who can afford them and love the franchise and its world. Its beyond pathetic. League painstakingly build their fanbase for more than a decade to establish fans so they can market the champs, hence the animations and music we got today. These skins are exclusive for the people who wanted them, they're not egging nor forcing people to buy sht. As a free player myself who bought skins for my fav champs, I feel sad about the free chests being removed but it was fine since I benefited from it already. Let League catch their break. They made a passion series not raking any profits, these skins are made for the fans who love the world they built.
