Dude most companies charge that for d2 😂 some more like Medford and freeman there are many that sell d2 and it a great steel just because some Chinese companies sell it for budget lines doesn’t mean it’s a cheap steel… it does its job very well especially if it gets a good heat treat or cryo treat🤦‍♂️

No DLC Magnacut is a massive L. Such a great lock mechanism, but no DLC handle and blade is a no can buy from me

Yes…..it’s killing their sales and no one seems to like them. When is the last time you snapped a blade because of the hole? You tell me that and I will tell you the last time I snapped one that didn’t have a hole. It’s not the hole that is the problem it’s the way it’s used.

I saw a destructive test of zt 0223 once. A big guy hammered the blade trying to break it where the series of holes is and near the slot. With huge effort was able to break the thin upper "bridge" above the hole, but the blade itself survived just fine. And it was a relatively brittle 20CV steel. With Magnacut, 3V or M4 steels you will need heavy duty tools to seriously damage the blade. In addition to that, holes do not affect the grind type you can use like at all.
