Yep. Just think of something as simple as a bad tooth. Your best bud is all of sudden your dentist! Different breed. My grandfather and his brother had a combined 14 kids. They both delivered all in their house. Both cowboys. Crazy

A hard life. Disease, tooth decay, hard to wash and search for food. Hot dirty and sweaty. But they made it work. Five out of eight children died in childbirth. Strong people. God bless them.

Coleman,Texas-1981!!! Wow! Definitely atmospheric chemistry different from the 🆕 England area. Sheriff had a spitoon affixed to the center of the dashboard. It was brown,hot and dry.

Great pictures ❤iv a negative I found under a 1890s home in a tin on a beam !it’s a image of a man with a huge Billy goat 🐐 with two lady’s on the front porch of the same home ❤in Australia 🇦🇺 one day we will get it devolved !

Interesting to note, just how few of the men in these pictures were wearing/ carrying side arms as a daily norm. I think that history would have us believe that all wore a gun.

@@HartmutJagerArt not all the pics are the wild west which only lasted a couple of years and which everyone carried a pistol at least. The west was wild, and unsettled. the pics of settle towns were not out west. History was taught this way in schools, clearly. Just gotta pay attention to what happened when and where.

14:30 Looking at Elkhart Texas today, one wouldn't call it bustling. My father was born there in 1918. It wasn't all that "bustling" then. Never heard about a fire. But, that might explain all the old brick buildings.

I love the pictures you have compiled. As a photographer myself, only thing I would suggest is get rid of the "snowflakes" in the pics. They are distracting. Good narrative too. Well done except the floating white dots.
