I have come to offer Yarn Dungeon Lore. So hear me out: your addy machine chills in its cozy lil hell dimension till you're ready to draw the summoning circle, and when it shows up to look at your yarn, it either says "Very well. I shall grant your wish" or "Fie, human! Why has thou summoned me for such fiber? Thou shalt not have a knitted beanie from such stuff." That's my headcanon anyway. I've hand knit slipper socks with a Latte Cake and they are so soft and comfy to wear. Beware though on tile floor they are a slipping hazard lol

That falling leaves yarn is so pretty! Michael’s didn’t have any when I want Saturday 😢. I did get some chunky yarn to make a cowl with. I just make mine 24 stitches wide, half double crochet in the front loop only. Gives it a nice ridge texture. Haven’t decided how long I’m make it yet lol.

How many stitches is your king size Addi? I don't have a knitting machine but would love to have that Falling Leaves beanie and I figured I could just knit a tube but I don't know how many stitches to cast on. And do you just pull the tail through the stitches and cinch it closed without any decreasing? I love the style of it and I'm super excited to begin knitting beanies. Wisconsin is getting cold so I'm a little behind on my hat knitting 😅

Yes, the Addi is a knitting machine, but you have to cast it on, turn the handle, remove the stitches and finish the hat by hand.

If you really are making a sweater with the Latte Cake, I would suggest doubling it or adding a coordinating thin yarn for stability. By it's self, Latte Cakes stretch out something awful.

I could see something like Twister solid or another lightweight cotton blend yarn to give the structure but not be too invasive of the fluff and it would be breathable since some places blast their heaters and make it hot as balls in the winter.

The black and grey yarn you could turn into a waistcoat stitch cowl. That would be very warm and chunky

19:33 It can be machine laundered! I wash on cold and throw in the dryer with the item in a mesh bag. I’d test with a swatch and see!

Oh, and now that I have an Addi machine of my own, I have learned: It will accept the Spice Cake yarn...reluctantly. I think the resulting hat was gorgeous, but the poor machine definitely didn't like it as much as my usual Big Cakes.

I can not get anything crocheted with my cats around. Everytime I pull out my knitting machines they are all up in my business. They want to sit in the knit machine, and they love chasing my yarn. I have a problem child kitty named Loki . When my husband and daughter suprised me with the cutest little orange kitten. And the loki premier was on and there where several lokis from different dimensions, so we thought he could be the cat version of Loki and it stuck! So he is always up to something and loves investigation everything. He is nosey and always curious and mysterious. He is so precious to me and i love him so very much. Loki has a bad habit of eating yarn and swallowing it!! I have no idea why either. He eats my rubber bands too! I have to keep yarn and strings a2ay from him so he doesn't eat my yarn.
