In March, we decided to get chickens. I wanted silkies so bad! We ended up getting 5 and I now have 3 hens and 2 tops. We also ended up buying 25 meat chickens and 25 other laying hens 😅. There’s no such thing as too many chickens!

me: mom. when we get the new house can I buy some chickens? I've done the research and found 2 breeds. silkies and easter eggers are both good with people. and eggs could be profitable. also they make a great companion according to the chicken experts. mom: ummmm... if you keep up with school till then yes! me: looks on kijiji.

I just found out that I have a hen and rooster silkie chicken since March of 2020. I just figure they would catch with the rest of the chicken, but it never happen. So I google it and found out what they were.lol. She always go broody.. this make it the 3rd time. It's December and she is back broody. Do you think that I should let her have her babies chicks?

There are lots of great videos on KZbin where you can start learning! :) It's good to get basic knowledge before you get chickens, but you will learn a lot once you actually have them, too!
