Would this mod be compatible with the walk to the desert mod?

@@internetbin Generally, archipelago is compatible with mods that do not directly try to change/add to the same game mechanics as itself randomizes. So without knowing this mod, but based on the name, I would guess "yes" with medium certainty. We also have a list of "supported mods", which we went the extra mile to support by not only making sure they work, but randomizing their content as well. SVE is on that list, as well as Tractor, Bigger Backpack and Skull Cavern Elevator.

Some tracker programs exist (PopTracker in particular supports a tracker pack for SDV Randomizer), but you're definitely right that tracking entrance randomization needs some actual notes. Funny enough, this is usually how people track entrances in other competitive randomizers. Haven't decided for myself if a graph is more helpful than just writing entrance names down. I've seen people do both!

YAY! I missed your videos! This mod seems too chaotic for me, but I'm excited to see your playthrough.

This particular playthrough is using some of the most chaotic settings. It's possible to customize the randomize to a pretty significant degree. I think most people on a first attempt benefit from not shuffling the entrances, and then consider trying entrances in a later playthrough. This randomizer also works as a multiworld with other games!

The mod uses a randomizer generator that follows strict access rules to make sure you can't get 'stuck' in terms of progression. SDV has some natural bugs and this mod has to overcome some of them, so I wouldn't promise an absolutely bug-free experience, but Kaito Kid put in tons of work to make this as smooth an experience as possible. The SDV Archipelago mod has come a long way!

It's still being worked on but @MrBBmap has been releasing/linking to the 1.6 betas on the archipelago discord if you wanted to try it out now. There's a public playtest coming up soon so I think it's probably in pretty good shape. I haven't played it yet (still haven't finished a vanilla 1.6 playthrough) but I'm looking forward to it.
