Hey guys sorry for the poor audio, something must have happened during the rendering and I didn't catch it. Will look into this for future videos.
@WelkerFarms5 жыл бұрын
After checking I can see the audio lost quality after uploaded to KZbin, so must have been a bad compression on their end.

Looks good! When I was a kid we used an old Massey Harris combine to clean wheat seed. We would auger into the door above the walkers. For many years I took it to a seed cleaner plant. Now we have a weed free field and use a JD STS combine strait to truck and into seed bin.

Reminds me of cleaning clover seed many years ago. Nice and clean clover seed was a very valuable commodity to have ready to sell but boy was it a dirty job and the clover dust made you want to scratch every part of your body. When we got done we would strip down to our underwear and use the garden hose to get the heavy stuff off before taking a shower.

@randr105 жыл бұрын
This works very similarly to a distillation column, except instead of high velocity air and grain density separating the different products, distillation depends upon the varying boiling points and volatilities of the products you're trying to separate. Very cool.

I'm pretty sure it is still a 404 but has the newer bosh injection pump. It is a lot better fuel setup than the original rosamaster system. But it needs its rack ran and probability injectors tested.

Perhaps I missed it, but I don't remember a description of where the cleaner got its electrical power. Perhaps a long extension cable from a barn? The cleaner seems to be a marvel of simplicity and efficiency. Almost no mechanical complexity with belts or augers means very little can break down
@WelkerFarms5 жыл бұрын
It is powered by 220v single phase. We have a cable running across the ground. It draws 12 amps at full speed. I'll include this in the next video.

Looks like it does a good job...and a decent volume. Other than being outside with everything, you have a nice setup! Like you, all our cleaning and feed grinding is done outside.... Unlike you, we are in northwest Oregon... And grain dust and rain don't mix!!! Always fun setting up augers...and the cleaner.. (we have a Kwick kleen, 5 tube, supposed to run 25 tons an hour) especially if you are trying to get done between storms. Gotta ask, how well did the cleaner actually clean??? How many bushels per hour??? What kind of price range???? I prefer to clean on the way into the bin, makes emptying the bins much faster and easier 😎 But... That doesn't always work out.. then we reclean for seed. We use all the screenings for feed, so if we clean it a little hard, we aren't losing much.
@GosselinFarmsEdGosselin5 жыл бұрын
@Robert Welker nice!! Thank you!

I thought you had to sign agreements with the seed suppliers that you can’t use your harvest for seed? Or is that dependent on the company or the crop ? A friend of mine watches that corn moon kid from Iowa and mentioned something about that with corn. Me my loyalties are with your channel 100%. If I have extra time I rewatch your stuff, my only subscription. They should call it welkertube really, I didn’t even know there were other channels until recently
