I'm new to Farrow and Ball. Yes, I know. Where have I been? The colours are absolutely gorgeous. I've already decided on Smokey Green for my front door and window shutters.

Their paint has great coverage and a great Matt finish. it's more expensive but it's worth it, as their colours use better pigment and have a satisfying colour nuance which reflects light around the room better than cheap paints. The paint also lasts longer without discoloration.

“De Nimes”:we get the word “denim,” as in blue jeans, from it. Therefore, silent “s.” “De”= of or from, Nimes= town in France 🇫🇷

Luke can you possibly go through your own house and tell us the colours you choose? I love the fireplace paint and walls....many people are asking you to reveal your colours...will you please?

I loved this! Was going one by one through their 30 second intros then found yours. This was well thought out when you spoke of what colors were IN the colors, and i loved you sharing your favorites-- and why. You're very generous with your share and very neat -- my goodness. Thanks so much. My favorite colors in the past were the c 120 colors from Donald Kaufman -- my intro to exceptional color. He has an olive that the Farrow and Ball is in the same corral with 0 an incredible rich olive. Once I drove from San Francisco to Santa Monica (near LA) to see the paint and get a single gallon. I'm liking Farrow and Ball now-- they feel a little more lively and promising. Thanks again.

Personally, I had to use three coats of paint, when I painted over my light beige wall a beautiful Farrow & Ball blue called St. Giles. It noticeably faded in less than a year in the California sun in my relatively sunny bedroom. Can’t touch up because the color variation is too noticeable. Also, if you so much as look at it, the paint rubs off the wall. I’m exaggerating, but definitely will wipe off even months later if you use a slightly damp cloth to clean it up. On the upside, painting with it was a true pleasure and the colors themselves look fantastic, even if you need to repaint yearly. Benjamin Moore is about $25 a gallon, F&B about $100, in the U.S.

ta for this vid; You seem to be a more neutrals bloke - I am more into the deep hues; just about to do a ceiling in Rangwali possibly in my Hell's Kitchen Deco flat. possibly. I'm hot for it. I have a tin walled kitchen in Hague Blue, just did my main living room in the fabulously vibrant Vardo to add to my Arsenic bedroom all tied in with railings on my Deco 1931 doors. #FARROW&BALL forever!

I’ve used Farrow and Ball paint in the past but forgot all about them. Thanks for the reminder. I think you need an external mic as the sound was a bit muffled.

I like the green color too. They told me the bylaws say only black front door. How garish! Why not a beautiful green shade?

Great review, Luke. I love Farrow & Ball paint. It's true it's more expensive than the others but it's great quality and the results are always sophisticated and chic. I particularly like the advice given by their showrooms as a lot of their staff have an art background so have a good eye on what works and they are always spot on. I've also managed to hide and tone down ugly features in my home which has saved me thousands on a total redecoration and make my small home look bigger with paint which maximises the space and light. It's terrific paint.

Could I ask what paint you did the walls behind you in?

I just found your channel. I have heard that farrow and ball coverage is very poor and that one might need as much as 3-4 coats for good coverage. Also can you do a house/apartment tour and let us know what colour paint is on your walls etc?

Hi Luke, what colour did you use on your walls in this video, are you planning more videos? Your delivery is really good :)

Great video. Did you attend the event in Shoreditch? It was brilliant. My favourite is Bancha.

See how thin the paint is on Luke's painted butterfly. You pay for the marketing and brand mark-up. Use your head and buy Dulux or Johnson paint. Dulux Trade mixed to order is good. Decorators hate Farrow and Ball.

You've missed the point. F&B paint is very chalky from the extra pigment. There is zero shine. You just can't get the same anywhere else.
@Lloyd18853 жыл бұрын
Not really...if if had extra pigment, it would cover better than it does
@voyance4elle3 жыл бұрын
Not true. The decorator where I worked has been using only Farrow and Ball because of its high quality.
