As a Portable go everywhere camp fan I use a Milwaukee M12 Fan. It works brilliantly as a cordless very portable a/w plenty of ways to hang it or with the magnetic base or with the sprung clamp. have several other M12 items in the van (light - impact driver - heated jacket- bluetooth speaker - reciprocating saw - air pump - fan) amongst the 1/2 dozen batteries I carry there is ALWAYS a battery at hand that has enough charge to keep the fan going. The same applies for when I use any of the other M12 tools - there is alway a battery I can grab to power it.

I have the same setup with multiple DeWalt tools and fan.

@@SteveOutdoors A non M12 fan might do some stuff "better" but for me it is clutch to 1st - never running out of battery 2nd - not having to charge a separate cordless battery - I bought a non M12 vacuum before I got on the M12 track & have a scene how it is a bit of a pain.

I hear ya. Having multiple tools run from the same battery type is very convenient. @@TerryManitoba

In the event of a summer power outage in my home fully electric, I can take a styrofoam beer cooler cut 2 holes one in front side, one in back side cooler, fill it with Large, refreezable ice packs. Place the cooler lid on snug place the fan against the cooler and i have a redneck air conditioner until the electricity is restored. I can cool my small bedroom. It works.

dang...I was sold on this little fan, till I found out you actually need 110 to charge....not really and off grid fan. Would of loved to see a version that charges with the use of a USB. anyone know if they make one?
@SteveOutdoors4 ай бұрын
The problem with a USB fan is it's not going to be very powerful. You're looking at 5V vs 110V. You can get a power inverter for you car to charge it.

how many amps do they use ..thats the question to how long they will keep cooling
@Green30622 жыл бұрын
I researched this fan and I like it but...... I called the company and they told me that the only way to recharge this fan is through the 3 prong 110v plug. If you have a generator to plug it into or a 110v plug in your vehicle then you wont be able to recharge this fan in the woods. I was going to use my back pack solar panels but it will not take them. Your thoughts?
@SteveOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Yes you will need 110 to use this for very long. If I have no electricity I use my DeWalt fan. I have 3 batteries for it. It will last a long time. Check out my other fan video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWGcaKhthKt3q9U

Is it enough to block out near by traffic? I live near a semi busy main road that's not a highway but motorcycles sports cars and freight trucks go through. I live near two busy streets. Both always has construction so I see it all. I'm always caught in the middle. And not fun to deal with on long work vacations.
@SteveOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Do you mean the sound? The fan is pretty quiet so I doubt it will block out traffic noise.
@mattwuxx3888 Жыл бұрын
I can't sleep anywhere without white noise from at least a 12-19" HV fan. Would be great to do some camping again and be able to sleep through the night. The length of charge when on the high setting is key for me. So based upon what you did here, looks like if I want to get enough white noise to last me 5+ hours, I'll have to pick up 2 of these bad boys and run them both at faster-medium fully-charged, to replicate the same white noise as my 14"-19" on high. Your review really helped. Thanks!
