We had a Fazoli‘s across the street from campus when I was in college so naturally I was there all the time. My favorite things to get there were the baked spaghetti and a combination platter that it had I think lasagna and fettuccine Alfredo if I remember right. I loved dipping the breadsticks in the sauces. I love that they’re starting to come back.

It was so cool that you shared the reactions you and Tampa Jay had to the opening of Fazolis. I was reliving my first experiences with Fazolis in the 90's with you. My husband traveled a lot for his work, so my teenage son and I often ate at family type restaurants like Fazolis, Ryans and Sweet Tomatoes. I am glad Fazolis is making a comeback. Your opening shot of the bathrooms brought back a funny memory of one time my son and I were in line to order at Fazolis back in the day. My son freaks out about spiders, and I looked at him and saw a big green spider on the leg of his shorts. He almost passed out and ran to the bathroom to get it off! I have always thought that Fazolis breadsticks are better than Olive Garden because they are always soft and buttery, never hard and crunchy like I have had at Olive Garden sometimes. Fazolis was so big in the Altamonte Springs area in the 90's (on the corner of 434 and 436) that I remember they catered dinner for the JROTC banquet at Lake Brantley High one year. I hope you and Tampa Jay have many more date nights at the Fazolis by Busch Gardens!

I loved this video so much! Food vlogs are my absolute favorite! I’ve never been to Fazoli’s so I looked it up and the closet one to me is about an hour and a half away. 🙁 Of course, being in CA, ours is also more expensive. If there was one close to me, my family would be there weekly. We love pasta and breadsticks so this is totally our jam! Tampa Jay was cracking me up with that empty breadstick plate! Had a Fazoli’s over here in Melbourne FL in the 90’s😎 We went ALL the time! Best fast food Ever! Never got how the only Italian fast food, closed!!!🤔🥴 Was also VERY sad😩when Sweet Tomatoes went out of business due to Covid shutdown! Always ate there in the Plaza across from Disney and now the Plaza is bulldozed as well! So many changes came from Covid😷🥴

So some bad news if history repeats itself. Did some research into the reason for the Fazoli's decline back in the day. In short, there was not enough business to warrant keeping the locations open. Digging deeper, and this is where the bad news comes in: rising transportation costs (gas), rising natural gas costs, laws passed forcing higher minimum wages, so they raised prices...add all that up and customers go elsewhere. Restaurants actually run on very thin margins, especially when they're not large chains; we only have 10 in Wisconsin and they are VERY spread out. Today, we have all those issues plus the immense difficulties with trying to get people to work. So...like all businesses these days, I wish them the all the best! PS: Love the "post credit" scenes (don't know what else to call them) that you and TJ do with your videos!

There's no doubt having a restaurant right now is a very risky business... I hope Fazolis can keep making a comeback... the odds are against them, but I am happy they keep adding restaurants and haven't died away completely. Fingers crossed!!
