After we lock the door, we almost always double-check to ensure that it’s secured properly.
What if we gave the low-intent shoppers that option too? A lot of times, A shopper with no intention to buy a product might place a COD order.
Since the COD order gets confirmed instantly, the shopper doesn’t have a chance to go back and cancel the order. As a COD order doesn’t have any obligations associated with it for the buyer, the buyer refuses to accept it on delivery leading to RTO
GoKwik, with its new feature “The smart prompter”, is solving for this problem. This feature will add an extra layer of confirmation before a COD order is placed. Just like we double-check the door to ensure it is securely locked, this feature will double-check with the high-risk customer to ensure they absolutely want to place the COD order.
But why is it called the smart prompter? That's because this feature uses sophisticated artificial intelligence and machine learning model to show the prompt only to high-risk shoppers who are most likely to cancel an order before delivery. The experience of other customers remains frictionless.
If the customer placed the order by mistake, he can have the option to cancel the order during the prompt or choose an online payment method. This will lead to an RTO reduction of 5-6% and also give some insights on what percentage of orders convert to prepaid at this point.
GoKwik is building many such innovative solutions to curb RTO at the source. Reach out to us at bd@gokwik.co to know more.
