i just heard this recently, that you can disconnect and reconnect voice chat from options menu to reset it without having to restart the game. (probably not on console) havent had the chance to try it since i heard about it, the option is in the menu though

Question about the new winter uniforms. Does the snow stay on them for all maps or is it just present on snow maps? Cause these new outfits look really amazing and I think it would be a bit of a shame if they just had snow on them while I’m playing say PHL.

My FPS is 20 on Mortain and this map and over 70 on every other map playing on Ultra. Something is very wrong with the shaders on both "from the ground up" maps, since this "snap" happens when switching shadows and effects from Medium to High.

I believe the issue with Mortain is the vegetation. I could be wrong, but it looks like they used the same "long grass" brush and filled in the whole map. I can't even run it on steamdeck

@@KorbinX This grass is VFX, not standart 2d texture. Try turning TAA off, you will see a mess of pixels instead of grass. This is why it's so heavy and why game lags on Effects and Shadows above Medium - this grass is killing FPS just because it exists.

Im level 500...i was level 500 before i restarted....please add mobile mortar unit,a adrenaline shot for rushing units (5 sec duration),more character options.....kind of kills the whole meaning of this game when everyone you see looks the same,a willy jeep with a mounted MG,and some type of gun customization anything at all....IM HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED THERE ISNT A JEEP WITH A MOUNTED MG....THEY WAS CRUCIAL IN WW2....preferably the M48 set up

The performance always is a bit janky on the test server because it’s collecting extra data. There should be less of that stuff once the update goes live.

played HLL since the days it first come out, the stutter is non existant now vs then! and i game at 4k. test servers are always worse then public or private, it also helps that you dont join a server with 75+ms pings, honeslty i have minimal to 0 stutter! which people will say CAP to 🤷

@@lu34lyf I game at 4K too and have been in HLL since its very 1st playtests. And I remember it quite differently +at the beginnings and EA the very thing everybody was praising how smooth the game was running despite being so detailed, so it doesn't fit with what you say at all. I know for a fact that it used to be smooth, now it isn't. And the proof is on every streamer's video especially on Elseborn - the stuttering is so noticeable. And if it is noticeable on a video in general, it was even worse feeling experiencing it live as much easier noticeable there.

@@sam_15_svk90 i dont stream screen record nothing, have a decent rig, i play along side my neighbour and we have almost identical setups bar he is AMD im Intel latest gens, both of us have 0 issues, low ping servers etc, to be fair its been a while since i done some play testing

I'm looking forward to the update, but I am disappointed with the German cosmetics. I do like when they add new uniforms and helmets, but I was hoping the Germans would get a trench coat with white smock. I don't mind buying cosmetics but I'm hoping the winter cosmetics are free with the update.

They should give the winter cosmetics for free, and the commander skins should be paid DLC. The winter rework skins should be locked to winter maps and should not be paid.

A greater selection of pistols and melee weapons would still be realistic/authentic. Also there are a range of weapons like rifle grenades, anti tank devices like panzerfausts or Soviet AT grenades and others which could be added which would also be historically accurate.

Now, add selective fire modes, adjustable sights and change the arty to be a commander ability to stop the stupid arty / recon camping mechanics or move the arty outside the map to be safe from recon and give them limited rounds.

I like those suggestions, but I’d prefer arty to be replaced by deployable mortars (with limited ammo, perhaps supplies needed near the mortar for rounds - 10 supplies = 1 mortar round). The mortar explosion would be half or 1/3 the current arty blast radius so it wouldn’t be too OP. Max two mortar teams per team. move arty to be safe 🤣 , realism is the games main point, moving it defeats that point, you wanna be safe on arty get a good team that comunicates and go hunting when one of you die, lack of skill issue on your behalf it seems 😆,, now tthey need to bring in the squad support mortar roles, then it will be even more hectic

@@lu34lyf HLL maps are bout 2 km long which makes the center point 1 km away from arty. WW2 artillery battalions had several batteries and were supporting much further, 5 to 10 km away, and were well protected. Not like 2 guys could pop out of a magic radio and kill them again and again. I understand the team coordination aspect but bombing run is also commander ability and not player controlled.

@@kerguule yes, ever heard of paradrops or behind enemy line teams. Or aircraft bombing runs or strafing runs? 🤷 Putting arty out of bounds with no way to get to them will ruin the game! The way they are now works very well and you can silence the guns inside a set time frame if your a good sniper squad or a squad that's pushing to cover arty and kill nodes 👌

Hell let loose is ass now I enjoyed the game very much when I first got my P5 and played everyday for awhile. But seeing them add more BS into the game like ass maps while still having unbearable performance issues I’ve come to hate the game. Like watching this gameplay with stutter is hilarious.

The test servers are always janky compared live servers. It’s because they are collecting a lot of data from the gameplay session.

I think it’s ridiculous that they’ve added a Patton cosmetic for the US commander and a General Fieldmarshall cosmetic for the German commander. It’s ludicrous to picture Patton and Rommel actively participating in a firefight, armed with a Thompson and an MP40

the servers are terrible. It's the only fps where ping sucks despite having an excellent internet connection and choosing servers in your area. they add maps and skins and don't fix major structural problems. on console it's shit. EU server with ping over 100, if I play on Arma Reforger on EU server with 128 players my ping never exceeds 40ms. many people I know have permanently uninstalled HLL

ping is gonna be mostly based on your physical distance from the server. but ive noted servers in the browser read like 30 then i get in and it shows im at 60, idk as long as its under 90-100ms its usually fine, if everyone else has a high ping u can be at a disadvantage with a low one

Same, my internet is fine. But it seems I can only find a few servers under 50 ms ping. Most others are 80+ ms. And I'm in central U.S.

I love Hell Let Loose but fk me it needs some work. Remagen - completely broken. Stalingrad - completely broken. The movement and amount of things you get clipped on - completely broken. Bolt actions not firing when you click half the time is beyond infuriating and has been an issue for years. Team 17 are aware but refuse to fix it. Usually hold 15-20 ping in other FPS games however sit around 80-100 in HLL servers. When you look at a game as visually intense as BFV, I have no idea why HLL operates so bad.

Are you on console? When you say Remagen and Stalingrad are broken do you mean gameplay or performance. Both perform okay for me on PC, but Remagen is tough because of the bridge chokepoint but heck it’s one map. I actually really like Stalingrad.
