Looking at the layout inside it seems your head would go at the side opposite the airconditioner. The two shelves opposite each other are like nightstands and the upper reading lights make sense to have your head away from the air conditioner 😊 I just found your channel and think it's really cute and I'm looking forward to catch up to date and see how your adventures have been going so far 😊 I'm hoping that this channel us right for me and I may add it to my short list of one's to watch. We have the nuCamper 320 CS-S and truly love it. We purchased the optional Walker tent that connects to the side of the trailer, giving us double the space. We also carry a 50-qt ARB in our jeep powered off DC while driving but once camped we hook it to AC from the trailer or I have a battery that will keep it powered for 14-hours. Love the clamp shell kitchen in the back. Everyone who sees it; whether at a gas station or at a park wants to get a tour. Happy Adventures

Hey Johnny, we currently have our VB on order and are still not sure about the AC. I know everyone is different, but have you used the AC yet? What was the temp like outside when you used it? It seems like we will be mostly away from 110 hookups, but there may be those times. On the other side the extra space without the AC would be nice, especially in that location. Hi Kevin, Yes I had also had trouble deciding. I purchase the trailer with A/C. I have used it once, but I ended up getting the A/C because I thought there may be a time that I wish I had it and It wasn't much money to add at the time. I'm not sure where you live, but you could do without the A/C in Colorado. Hope that helps!

I think I'm answering my own question as I reply to you. We are getting the heater, because we've camped up in Half Moon Bay when it was close to freezing and heat would have been nice. We’ve been looking at Vestabule for about a year now. Planning next month to head up to Minneapolis to take a look at them and probably place the order. Good video and enjoy your Vestabule. But remember next time you pull it out of the garage to lift the jackstands. That hurt to watch them bind like that

HI Chris, Thanks for the feed back, but the new Vistabule does not have jack stands. What you are seeing is two rubber tabs to seal up the back door when driving. Glad your watching closely :)

Hey, Johnny, I'm wondering if you would comment on how the Crosstrek works for towing, now that you have some miles under your belt? Enough power for serious climbing on highway? MPG? Adequate stowage room in car for all that miscellaneous stuff? Thanks.

Hi, the Cross trek tows just fine. It is not built for serious climbing on the highway...think 10 steps above a VW bus, But I don't mind, because I enjoy the experience along the way. I'm not sure about current MPG..I will test next time and post for you. On flats it's perfect for me. When you hit a big hill...it will be slow going. No heat problems or any other problems with the car when towing. I have lot's of room, but you have to keep in mind that less is more to me, so I don't take tons of stuff with me. Less stuff, makes the experience more fun!! Hope that helps :)

Hey Scott. The cushion feels great to sleep on. I know that Vistabule has an add on option to increase the ground clearance by 2". I'm not sure what Vistabule's current timeline is like, buy you can reach them at vistabule.com. Hope that helps... Enjoy!

2Rollingrob hey there thanks... I’m not sure if the fridge will get close to freezing. I haven’t tried that. I’m setting the manual dial at 6 and goes to 12 and it’s pretty cold. I’ll let you know the MPG down the road after I get some consistent data. As far as getting to the storage under the bed it’s super easy. Taking the bed from bed to couch mode takes 20 sec. take care!!!

@Johnny Battle Life. .. Have a close visual review at timecode 3:19 . .. The spare tire's lug bolts appear loose as the associated lock washers are not compressed. .. Would hate to unintentionally drop the spare tire. ... Varooom. .. Travel safe.

I love your camper, and I was wondering what is the dimensions on the foot storages. The ones with the pink umbrella and the pink bag in it. I was thinking it might be big enough for a cassette toilet, when you’re out in places without a restroom. The width, length and especially the heighth.

I no longer have the Trailer to measure for you, but It's not enough room for a cassette toilet. The toilet may fit in the back kitchen galley :( , but not a good idea or the inside of your car or the black storage box on front would work just fine.

Hey Johnny, since you have one of the latest models and a few new options, I’d like to ask a few questions. I don’t see aluminum frame as an option yet on the website but was aware they were working on it in one of Cosmos videos. Was it an expensive option? Also, can you show, it looks like water fill and connect are on one side and electrical and solar on the other? Usually connections are all on one side but with limited space on side wall I can see where it would be safer to separate these from each Also how does the lock work on the doors, tried to see a close up but couldn’t. Is that one on top and one on the other? Looks like it is s cool key from what I can see if it is the one in the passway, not the typical. Yes no problem, They do not offer aluminum yet, but I think they are getting close. It’s true the water fill is on the drivers side and the solar hookup is on the passanger side.. You are very observant. There are 3 locks on a single door. The main lock is on the handle and the other two just help seal the door from the outside elements like water and dust when traveling down the road.

Johnny Battle Life; .. Knowing a trailers tongue weight specification is Rule #1 when towing a trailer. .. Not to sound like yer mother, better yet, say one Coloradoan to another. .. Stop in at any one of the many I-70 Denver RV/Trailer shops and find out your Subaru/Vistabule trailers tongue weight. .. More important is the overall trailer weight balance vs tongue weight. .. The Bicycle probably causes more wind drag then the trailer. If you can fit bicycles in the trailer your mileage will greatly improve.

Hi Jamie, It pulls just fine. You won't be winning any races, but it does the job. I run about 65 mph on the flats and a very big hill in the Colorado mountains will slow me down to about 40mph

This was a wondeful video, Johnny! Thank you for sharing! I am having a 2014 Little Guy 5 Wide delivered to my house in the next two weeks. I'm in college in Cali and I'm going to tow the trailer from my parent's house on the East Coast. Trailer weighs around 900lbs I believe. I've got a 2015 Kia Soul. Something that I'm trying to figure out is how you hook up the trailer to the car for lights. What connector do you have on the Subaru and what is on the trailer? I believe there are ports to hook up to in RV parks, but some information regarding the set up for towing the car would be wonderful. I bought a four-pin connector off of etrailer.com. Thanks!

Thats awesome! Congratulations on the new trailer. My trailer has a 7 pin adapter which plugs into a 7 pin female adapter on the Subaru. I would call the MFG of Little guy and ask them for the wiring diagram which Is what I did....then I gave that paperwork to the hitch place for them to follow. If you want to do it yourself that same paperwork should be helpful. I just don't like messing with wiring. It's out of my comfort zone. I hope that helps. Good luck and enjoy :)

@@RandomVelocity I built my own for about a grand used a 5x8 utility trailer put a 8 foot pickup aluminum topper on it used 2 foot tall side walls instant camper the topper had windows all around added carpeted bunks sleeps to on the bunks room for up to 3 more stretched out on the floor more then happy with it
