I’m happy with the rolled fretboard edges and rosewood. But since I just bought a Player I on clearance, I’ll wait.

I just bought one of these the other day and I love it. It's a blue one with a maple fingerboard. I went in most excited to try out one of the ones with a rosewood fingerboard, but after trying out the four different examples they had in stock I just liked the feel of the neck on the one that I chose the best. Moa's dad is right. "You don't pick your bass. The bass picks you."

Yesterday I bought a Fender Player II Precision Bass and can't wait to get it. I already have the Fender Player II Jazz Bass with flatwounds... just awesome. I just fell in love with the Fender sound.

Does it get good Jamerson motown sound with the flatwounds?
@Arlunydd2392 ай бұрын
@@funkymonk816 I just checked songs...and yes...sounds like it. Fender Precision was that sound in the old days. Fender also made the first bass with frets, that was 1951, so bassplayers could for the first time play precisely, thats why the name precision. 🙂 Already got my Fender P and I just love it 🙂 And flats have just been normal for Fender in the 60s, rounds came 10 years later.

I play guitar but I’ve dabbled with bass. I’ve tried several, but the P-bass is the one that spoke to me. Glad I waited for these player 2 to buy one.

Dear Fender, I tried the P II Bass yesterday. It's much better than the player series. The new appointments were definitely an improvement. The rolled frets and neck finish were most notable. Much better Q.C. than the last batch you put out. Far more worth the value as well.

Looks and sounds amazing but, I can't stand that plastic truss rod plug on the neck. Looks horrible. Haven't you considered making a wooden one or just getting rid of it?

The color choices for all of the new Player ll guitars and basses are kind of lame in my opinion, with a few exceptions. If they plan on keeping the Player ll line around for a while, they should definitely release a few more options.
@NoMoreMrNice4 ай бұрын
Birch green with the maple fretboard looks great! But it would be nice if you could choose between maple or rosewood on any body color.

@@glenny5081 I had a bandmate from years ago who got that exact guitar and played it exclusively. Dark Red Fender Stratocaster, black pickgaurd and rosewood fretboard. I remember when he showed me I was like, "That's...kind of ugly." He was like "What?!" I personally just don't like the color combo. Replace the black pickguard with a white one, or better yet, get a maple fretboard instead of rosewood, and it would look fine. But something about the red, black, with the rosewood combo seems like such a bland choice to me, like the guitar had no personality. Everyone's different. I'm sure some people think the exact opposite of me. But I remember thinking to myself, "He had so many color options and thats the one he went with? Weird. I don't get it."

Wait she said she was going strictly direct but she showed that she was plugged into the Helix board so I guess she is actually getting the actual sound from the Helix, not an actual direct from the Fender!!!!

@@jasondorsey7110 They really do. I actually have the same exact bass as in the video above except mine is a Player l. The only difference is the maple is lighter in color on mine. Although I like the darker maple on the new Players, the light maple with a black and white bass looks great!
