It’s not optimal, but if you really want to use a non-goddess with Mael like a rank-up Gowther, use that unit in the back and use suicide liz in the front. Starting with full goddess means that you’ll still get the brilliance of the sun, and since suicide liz dies easily, she’ll die and you’ll get your back unit out in the front quickly while still having two units with brilliance of the sun, meaning that your single target won’t be complete garbage.
