What am I doing wrong with throwing the ball to a base after successfully pressing x for the showtime dive. Every time I get the ball but I just don’t throw to the base I’ve press after getting it and end up with an error.

@chrishartnett8706 sounds like you are not timing the pulse meter when you press x because when I get that timing right I haven’t made an error

I’m so confused by this. Whenever I get a diving opportunity it’s a pulsing circle with a button that I have to hit at the right time. I’ve never seen the glove that you have to move into the circle.

Here’s how you do it, because it kicked my butt too. It’s a pulsing circle when the outside green circle contracts into the smaller circle you press the button (a on XS) you time it out like a heartbeat.

Yeah I let my community choose my position for a series. Spoiler Alert 🤣so I finally experienced that for the first time it was easy for to time it up but I definitely can see how frustrating that would be.

It depends on the position. From what I’ve played so far the glove is only for 1st and Catcher.

I have had this happen in game before when I played but it try’s to say that it this the ground and is considered a line drive but it’s actually a line out

New to MLB The Show 24 and I am trying to figure out how to execute the mechanics of the throwing meter with the sequence of buttons to push (I don't even know the name of it). Do you have a tutorial or know of someone who does so I know when to start pushing and how long you have to push? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Almost every position has different timing, I play catcher on all showtime settings but for my short stop I use showtime for fielding so I can make those slow motion diving plays but button accuracy for my throwing settings. The timing is different for every position but in my opinion pressing the multiple buttons to make a throw was just annoying so I turned it off for that reasons. But the diving plays you just have to time your pulse meter as close to the circle as you can. Then once you time up the diving play press the base you want to throw it to immediately and get ready for the animation to throw. I have had it not give me the throw animation and just throw straight to the bag with only me pressing the button but it’s not consistent. If you’re new and don’t want to deal with all the slow motion settings and having to press multiple buttons to throw I would recommend turning showtime completely off

I think the mechanics are fun. It adds a little something to the game. People are too negative now a days lol never satisfied. They can always turn it off if they want

For a first base and Cather I would recommend keeping the show time settings on because you get those slow motion animations that make it more fun to play those positions in my opinion
