Completely biased take here but you've simply put together the best film photography channel out there in both consistency and quality of content. Congrats on the milestone and cheers to more!

Congratulations on approaching 60k subscribers, Hashem! I’ve been watching your channel for over a year from the USA and I really enjoy your topics and insight on film photography. I love seeing your photo walk gatherings in Melbourne, and the short interviews of attendees. What a talent pool of creativity you have in Australia. It’s wonderful to see. I’m impressed with your channel growth and look forward to the new things you want to do. I didn’t know about your participation in podcasts so I’m glad you mentioned them! All the best to you and look forward to your new topics in 2025. 🎉

Hi Hasham, I recently bought the film killer (cutter) from your website and I was really impressed by the speed of postage and, of course, the cost compared to ordering from overseas. Thank you. I would also be interested in the film trimmer because I bulk load cine film in 35mm cartridges but I have one question about the trimmer you showed: Is the trim length suitable for use in Leica iiif cameras? They need a fairly long length of trimmed (reduced width) to load the film successfully. There is an old trimmer you can find sometimes on eBay and you can also (like I do) just cut the trim with scissors but a reasonably priced trimmer which suited the old Barnack Leica cameras as well as ‘normal’ SLRs would be great. I always really enjoy your videos. Thank you Michael

Hey, glad to hear! I'm still considering the viability of the trimmer, since it's not cheap. *Edit: I checked and it can do the long leader! You just punch multiple times, moving it up each time. I've never used a Leica iii but imagine that would be important 😁 And thanks, I appreciate the support!

Veering towards cine film is something I want to do in the next year, too. I've tried home ECN-2 and it's fine, just with a very short lifetime for the chems - easily remedied with some patience :)

Hey @Hashem, love the video and congrats on reaching the 60k subscribers mark. I just wanted to let you know that I am interested in the Rezivot film leader cutter you mentioned - are you likely to be able to carry it in your store? Cheers on a great job with the KZbin channel mate, always entertaining and informative.

Thanks mate! I'm in contact with them, and now looking into the viability (duties/numbers related) Good to know you're interested though. What are your thoughts on the price? I'm also trying to gauge affordability at their RRP, assuming I can keep it on par with reasonable shipping.

It was really surprising to hear the quick reference to an Ilford slide film. They don't seem to be putting much effort into marketing it. Thete is very little info on line and it appears to only be available in the antipodes. 😟

Yeah its Eastman 5294 (Ektachrome) according to their website (and my own results). I was also surprised it had been out for a while without much marketing.

Doesn't the F3 have an internal light meter? As far as I know, the red led light on the camera body is only for the timer... Sorry for picking this out from a video that mentions much more interesting topics, I just thought it was strange. Good luck in your future work! edit - F3
@pushingfilm3 ай бұрын
Hey. Yeah I was referencing the meter reading itself, not the red light for the timer :-)
