Love the new colors. I have every color in the older colors and mine get some surface mold on them but i wipe it off and then sprayed them with a squirt of alcohol and they dont mold anymore.

I just watched you open your 2nd pink one, towards the bottom of your page, and it looks like it might have mold in it... if it has a weird dark color that looks blackish, thats mold.

It is hard to tell on camera but it is almost an oily dark pink pigment.

@@Tiffany.Solorio Ahh ok... good, glad its not moldy. A lot of mine got moldy but wiping it off and then spraying it with a spritz of alcohol before i closed it back up, fixed it :)

@@Tiffany.Solorio ​ dang... sorry... didnt mean to make you horrified... but the thing about a little mold... it wont hurt ya... and most of the time it will wipe right off and the product is unaffected. If its mold in your walls or something like that, thats one thing but if its something small, its not a big deal :) It happens to the best of us (and our craft stuff)

Tiffany I just ordered those and I got the Indian pink as well and when I opened it it looked dark on the top just like yours and I thought that was mold but you seem to think it was the pigment. That’s good to know if it’s not mold I will take a look at mine again I was just afraid to touch it

Mold is my worst nightmare. I really don't think it is mold. If it was I didn't get sick LOL!! hahaha!

It's not mold!! It's the pigment. Sometimes it dosent settle all the way in the product after it is made and shipped. I just get the end of a paintbrush and quick lil stir.

I forgot to put that I’ve had at least half of the old problems since they came out and have never had a problem with them and I think they smell wonderful too. One thing I have learned personally from Finnabair is that she taught me to put a little of the wax on your palm and work lightly off your palm down near your wrist where u have a little puffiness in your palm. This works so much better in not overdoing. Especially with bolder colors and a little goes a long way. I would think unless you used them for classes or something these will last you forever. Mine have not gotten the least bit dry. Thanks for sharing the colors on black and white. Sometimes we forget how different they can be.

Tiffany, I just found this video today and it is terrific! You know how hard it is to find vids using pinks and purples? Someone told me the pinks and purples show up as shades of silver on the white, so I have been looking for help. I love that yours is very concise and clear with the single page of black and white. Up til now, I was ready to give up as I am pretty sure I want white molds, not black. I will be buying some of these now to start my molding. Thank you so much : )

Well, the Inka Gold doesn’t change color dramatically like these do. Some of these are startlingly different between black and white (not just opal magic either) and they look different in pan versus on the project. Don’t know why. Inka Gold is much truer to color. One thing about Inca Gold is that some people experience them drying out over time and some got mold. But people LOVE them so there are tons of videos with different ways to clean them and rehydrate if it happens. Inka Gold is FAR more product for the same price or even less. THAT is huge for me. Even if it takes me forever to go through one, I don’t care! I still think these are dinky compared to other brands. Honestly, it’s one of those things where you use them and have a preference as you find yourself reaching for the ones you prefer to work with. What I did was buy one or two colors in every popular wax brand the market and i just use them. If I love one, I buy more colors. And I try to by a variety of colors instead of similar from each brand. Ultimately, there is no “better.” There are pros and cons with each, they are all super pretty and everyone is different as to what they enjoy most, especially since we all may use them I need different ways. Many other waxes are for paper/scrapbooking, and Orina is much more about use on all sorts of paper clay, modeling clay which is why they make so many Moulds that go with these. These were released with a bunch of molds and metal items, new molding clay, liquid acrylics. People use these on wood, moulds they make with paper clay, journal covers, metal frames, canvas. Other waxes are made to go with various papers and tags, for scrapbooking. That’s why they are all a bit different. You have to grab one and start playing to see what your go-to will be. I love these waxes, but they are very small for the price and that matters to me. I find a firmer was easier for paper substrates. I like these best on black, period. The colors really look washed out on white, and it’s disappointing since they are slamming with color in the pan. Definitely use white gesso first but still, the color can look really bla compared to what I see in pan. I don’t like that. That mint color, for example, looks much less spectacular in paper and straight up like olive gold not mint green on black! I want MINT. The lagoon blue looks blue in pan but aqua on paper. So odd to me. That’s my biggest complaint with these. Others are much truer to color or just spot on. A lot of people say mmm they smell so good. They do, but they get sickening to me. I’m sensitive to smells, and I’d caution people who get headaches. VERY perfumey smelling. Too much. Other brands pretty much have no smell or very little. I could go in all day. Bottom line, I’m on a very tight budget and I generally like to be economical and enjoy trying different products so I’d just say get one or two of each and create!

PEACOCK is STUNNING, and I love the Indian Pink which looks much more red to me (I dislike most pinks so that's great) and the green sparkle all call to me. TF swatching them for us to see.

I am soooo excited! I got the Heather Hills and the Blue Denim, I will be getting the pink one and one or two others soon, but I'm actually thinking of getting one or two of the older ones instead of all of the new ones first, I kinda like the silvery one or the rose goldish one, (not sure of the names) and there are just too many other things I want, and I have got to limit myself to just a few things at a time, so it is gonna be slow going!.

Great vid!! Got confused though. Which is better to use?? Those waxes OR the opal ones?? That actually change color when you put it on black or white gesso. Because that’s what I thought this video was about when I saw you putting them on black and white background. Confused me haha! But yeah have you tried those opal ones? Violet-green and blue-pink. Really cool how it changes on different backgrounds!! Love it!

Tiffany Solorio yeah I tried finding a video on KZbin to see if someone could really show me or tell me the difference because I ended up ordering both kinds and they all are metallic lol! so that’s why I’m assuming the only different is that you got wax(that isn’t opal) and then you got actual “Opal” paint. 🤷🏽‍♀️ If anyone else has the same confusion as me, always remember that opal means color shifting on light/dark backgrounds. It’s like magic! 🥰😝
