Better off with the Amazon tablet anyway. You can throw the thing at the floor with force and it will probably survive. The Fire tablets are very durable. Even more than the newest brand name tablets.

It's much easier to sideload google play services on this tablet than it used to be. Basically just allowing the install of apk (android package) files, then downloading and installing. Simple.

If deciding between this (Fire HD 10) vs the Fire HD 8, unless you really can't squeeze the difference in price (these do go on sale for $120 frequently + black friday at $100-ish) go for the Fire HD 10. The performance difference and screen quality are worth the price. Great for video watching and general tablet use. Speakers though are pretty "thin" sounding. Not terrible, but considering using a bluetooth speaker.

I got a hd 8 and used a trick to download the Google play store on it. I use it for reading marvel comics through the marvel unlimited app. Loving these cheaper end tablets. No reason to spend so much for something that a cheaper alternative can do just as well.

The Cow in the seat infront of me at the piano concert she made a video of the whole concert holding the LARGE tablet up looking at the screen NOT the pianists the whole concert long , needles to say it was in my view the complete show and when i asked her to lower it she said she wanted the recording to remind her of the performance ( WIch she didnt watch in the first place just her recording of it) I am under conflict with the Concert hall at the moment as I have asked for a ticket price refund.

That looks like the Gamesir G4 bluetooth controller. I'm about to get one to use with Parsec, a video streaming software that works especially well. One really nice feature is that multiple users can connect to your origin device so you can both play local co op on different devices. It also connects through their own servers, so you can be anywhere with a good internet connection and connect to your home device. I can't wait to go on a trip with my phone and the G4 and stream all my PC games over the internet.

A silly yet valid question... Is there only one version of the Fire HD 10 Plus or are there different versions for different global areas? I use Apple products. As there are many versions available for various parts of the world, I’m careful that I use American version Apple products. Currently, I live and work in China 🇨🇳. “The Great Firewall” really makes life extremely difficult as far as internet is concerned. I was in Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 for ten years, and “The Theocratic Firewall” was twice as bad. My only savior was and is a VPN and an American/British version of iPhone. As you’re aware, COVID has made life very restrictive. I haven’t been home in four years. Thank you 🙏

Quite a good review that has gone some way to helping me decide to buy one of these, now the choice of I colour that I want has to be decided, black is definitely not welcome in my home so it has to be red or blue. Decisions, decisions... I was a little disappointed that you didn’t even spend a few minutes on the music playing ability of this very good sounding device, surely no review of a tablet is complete without at least a brief description of how it is at playing music, as an Amazon Music subscriber that will be the main source of any music I will be playing on my Fire HD 10 when arrives (you could have used “copyright free” for an example of the sound quality of this tablet. Other than the music omission I quite enjoyed your review, thanks from the U.K..

Gonna choose Kindle fire 10 thank you for review. I can get kindle, a case, a good stylus, and screen protector all for $210. Whereas apple iPad 2018 w apple pencil is $350! And if wanted the new 10.2 screen $360 plus $100 for apple pencil $460!! I really like kindles I've had the older Kindle 7 HD and the Kindle fire HD 8 and my mom and grandma have Kindle tabs also no probs. I wanted bigger screen size so 10 inch is good.

Would you consider another video for the google home mini demonstrating its ability (with chromecast of course) to read Gmail email out loud for you. no other video review mentions this ability. Another excellent review. Always wondered how good those Amazon tablets are. As a heavy iPad user I prefer the 4:3 aspect ratio better for web browsing, reading, and other uses. The lack of a KZbin app is pretty much a deal breaker for me. Also 0:34, is that a white/red nabi wall charger in the background?

I have the 64 GB version with my old 32GB SD card installed and I love it. First thing I did was add Google Play store and Shadowbox to it. My only complaint is it's a bit heavy, especially in the cover I have it in. If I had to hold it for extended periods of time, my arthritis kicks in. Good thing my cover has a stand. A note about the cover, it's the same one I used on my old fifth gen Kindle Fire 🔥10. Saved some money there.
