NEW FISHING GROUNDS / NEW SPECIES II GOURITSMOND

Guess who's back!
We made a trip down south, with the intent of targeting a verirty of different species. My friend Corrie was on leave and we had to deal with the bad weather and huge swells.. it's winter afterall. This made it diffecult to target bigger fish like Musselcracker and we had to scratch in the gullys, but we made it clear that we don't want to target Galjoen.
I've made a few nice catches this Winter during the break, a lot of Galjoen and White Steenbras off Camera.. with the best being a 54cm Galjoen this season..

This specific trip was cut short but i wanted to share some of the footage with you just to get back into filming and making videos!
Graaitjie hooked into a nice fish that might have been a Cracker, but he lost it due to old fishing line on a reef right before us, i guess thats what you get for going off script as he landed a few Gallies off camera! hehe
Corrie caught a new specie, a Fransmadam/Karelgrootoog
It's more like a bycatch specie but for anyone that knows him.. he was ecstatic!!
I caught my 50th & 51st new specie on this trip ... BUT go check it out on the video

Matthys, die haaie die laaste paar jaar is stil diekant. Ons het hulle gewoonlik sommer op wurm gevang as ons vir Galjoen of steenies gooi.. as jy chokka of sardyn gooi vir kabeljou dan moet jy weet hy gan jou optel... maar hulle is suppose om nou einde winter te spawn en dan aan die byt te kom in die somer. Sal def n video maak as hulle ytkom

Howzit guyz..... What's the best and easiest way to catch bronze bream?

A lot of factors, you obviously needs to fish at a spots that holds bronze bream. Scale down on your tackle/trace. Persist on Musselworm, prawn baits or chokka blobs.. Fish the white water arounds ledges or rocks that have a lot of black mussel on it. You can also fish shallower than you think..

@@ricardomoodley2466 best bait that area is black crab the one you see running on the rock's. It's been one of the most successful bait I used when I used to live there.
